I had my rFactor2 For full details on high / max with a sustained frames 60 fps and my surprise was that with the build 240, when installed automatically dropped me to 21-25 fps. Unacceptable as it is supposed, that the updates should optimize not worse.
If anyone can help me comment on it, please.

i havent noticed such an FPS drop, but i have got stuttering for the first time and its really annoying

all my other settings are the same as before, and the stuttering is new. the thing is, it wasnt doing it initially. i haven't made any changes to set up or GPU settings, nothing. but after a week of normal use, its all stuttering on all circuits at all graphics settings - ive tried everything to get rid but its just not going away.

i hope the next build isnt too far away so i can see if it gets resolved

Are you comparing like to like? Same cars, same tracks, same settings?

Yes, there are several threads about fps drop in 240, although there is the inevitable boob who, for some godforsaken reason will immediately respond to any problem report with "works for me".

You may want to let us know what hardware you have so to help ISI investigate. You should also confirm that you are using same settings, cat, track and anything else you have tested like different drivers, re-install, etc. to lend credibility to the problem as for whatever reason some of those who don't have issues like to discredit those who do.

    Hi
The specifications of your equipment will make you feel even worse I think in the future with all that rFactor2 will bring.
    DDR2, 460 ...

I just want you to take consciense at one point we will have to change.

    Put the shadows "down"
    off rain
    wind off

    your FPS PUT TOGETHER

My advice , takes 10 minutes.

Rename your rFactor2 folder to rFactor_whatever.

Install a fresh "LITE" Build240 to a fresh rFactor2 folder.

    Do not add old files.

    Do new config, profile, etc.

Try it out see how you go, what you got to lose ?
At worst delete the rFactor2 folder and rename your original back if it solves nothing.

    @ Enetmo
I read on the change notes of the 240 the HDR is set to ON now by default.
Do you run with HDR on previous builds? I no, disable HDR manually with 240 build. It can be the reason of your FPS low.

Adding memory, 4 for 64-bit is low
    At least twice ...

Thanks Durge, i will try it.

Lucky, i will think seriously change my hardware in the future.

And Mad, in the previous build i had HDR on.

I have done a clean fresh install because I wanted to tidy up my rFactor folder , and to my surprise I now get an extra 10 fps or more , marussia on silverstone min was 30 now min is 40 and max around 60 ,this is with 3 screen setup , same settings as before , so I'd say it's worth a try .
