Just wowww.ISI, I must say that this time you have done a great and brilliant job! I made some lap with the Megan Trophy and this track is just fantastic!
I'm having a little issue with Silverstone... With the same settings I used to have, which is everything set to max, hdr on, fxaa and aa thru nvidia control panel override, and I had a stable 60 fps on most track, except a few slow downs at time in the 50s.. I first tried silverstone as is, and it resulted in a crash... I tried a few times, and all the same. Then I tried to remove AA, fxaa, lower res, lower anisotropic, still the same crash at the end of load time. I hear the pit beep you get when the track is loaded, when you normally see the pit UI. But it crashes right after. I played with the display settings, lowering a few and I narrowed it down to texture detail. When set to full, the game crashes, and when set to high, it's running fine. Any ideas?
This might sound odd, but try loading another track first, then go back to menu and retry Silverstone.
Very heavy track. Alone I get 30FPS. With 9 AI I get 20 FPS. In normal tracks in ISI I get 60 FPS. Now the track is beautiful! Perfect! My PC! CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.4 Ghz Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory: Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 Bits VĂdeo: XFX Radeon HD 6970 2GB
I updated to 240 when it was out... It might be related to my computer only having 3GB ram? or vid ram 1.5gb (580gtx), cause if I only lower texture detail to high, I can load the game fine with only 1-4 or so AI, I tried 16 and 8, and it crashed as well. However, I get my 60 fps, with a few drops in 40-50s every now and then, but it's pretty smooth... about the same as Mills for me.
What destroys FPS on the track is the Environment Reflection. With the Environment Reflection off. I have gain 30 FPS. Google Translator!
On most tracks I get between 50-60 fps. In Silverstone I get 40 on avarage (lowest 25, highest 55). So not really smooth Track is well made for sure but looks nothing special with my hardware. If this is going to be standard in rf2 then we have to upgrade our pcs soon, I don't want to drive all on medium quality I was afraid of this so I'm not too suprised of this and really not complaining. Just sad that my hardware isn't up to the job.
Had the same problem and I updated my display drivers and now can turn back up the texture detail to high and FPS back to normal. I still get a crash when texture detail is on Full. Hope this helps. Intel i5-2400/ 3.1GH/ 8 GB RAM ATI 5770 1 GB
Not sure if a track or server issue but online, who ever went fastest, their times disapeared from timing board in practise session. ??
I believe I can see the heat haze effect on this track, that's probably why turning off reflections gives you such a big FPS boost.
Bravo ISI, bravo! Started off with a fresh install. First time ever I did that. Couldn't believe how fast the game was responding. Silverstone just looked amazing.. I nearly crashed driving down the old start/finish. Stunned by the beauty of The Silverstone Wing. Oh good times ahead
will i be fine running this track at highest settings with about 19-20 AI? specs: GTX 680 i5 2500k 8GB ram
Good news. Unfortunately I have exceeded number of activations (new computer and another fresh install) and can't try new track. Waiting for an email from support...
Stapo, all i know is with everything maxed I got 12 FPS ,adjusted graphics 28fps but thats on my old clunker
