Thought i'd figure out how to do the track reflections and do the pitlane objects. Pretty easy once i figured it out. Development has been slow lately as I've been slightly addicted to actually driving the sim with a group of friends and getting silverstone released. Everything should pick back up now.
wouaaw !!! I'm cracking up ^ ^ I'll put me modding track, I know this is long but I see all these people who are working on this! if some one environment to a small video tutorial that shows how to create red light or else I'm interested.
That looks pretty natural, although the area where the grass texture meets the wall needs some "imperfections", it is way too straight. Otherwise looking good....
Road looks nice as does the grass/ dirt area does look straight but with other stuff around wont be so noticeable, and maybe as you get closer to the dirt thats further in the distance it stands out more because it looks not so "straight " upclose are the grid lines as thick as they are in the first post's vid .. Look a Bit thick is all .... at the end of the day I'm jealous lol cant wait to attack it greAt work
Did some more work on the grass today and remodeled several large sections of the runoff area's to take advantage of rfactor2s terrain blending. Heres 2 screenshots showing the Grass technique and textures comparison and the new curb textures. On the right you can see the old technique and textures for the grass and on the left is the new technique and textures.
Maybe you are the one who could us noobs teach the lessons by (video) tutorials - maybe a small track starting from nothing to "finished" step by step- one vid per week, so that we (I) can follow........ dreaming again....... TIA
Me too I like the variety, because it doesn't look like "artificial variety". Visible, but not too pronounced. You can also see these "grooves" that are usually parallel to track - they are the reason why grass textures don't feel flat and plain. Good work Tracks like these and those by feels3 can motivate other modders to step up their game.
Looks fantastic! Keep up the good work. Spoiled only by the terrible AA in rF2 that is evident even in these screen shots.
