    Same here.
When click on auto-update it says my build is up to date, but it's not.
When click on query nothing happens.
When click on verify, it says "Invalid path submitted by this application or there is any error with the verification service."

Obviously ISI is having issues with the auto updater service and obviously knows about it. If you want to update, don't hop on here and whine about it not working.

Either wait for it to get fixed or even better, download the Lite installer go into your rFactor 2 install directory and delete everything EXCEPT packages and plugins (just be aware that some plugins may not work since the plugins engine has been updated in Build 218). Then install rF2 from the Lite installer to the same directory where you had it before. After it is installed, go into the Mod Manager and install all your content that you saved in the Packages directory.

It's easy, just do it. Read through this thread and a BUNCH of other people have the same issue you have, this is the fix. There's no need to post a re-post the same thing for 16 pages.

Still doesn't work for many...voila. First time I have ever had an issue since they deployed the current update process.

Because it's more than the one step that is supposed to be available through the simple auto-updater. Why did ISI make auto-download of content for online racing? Everyone could keep doing it manually if they were dedicated like you. Other titles have updaters that work. It's not such a stretch.

I uninstall 198 because im afraid of the software legacy, you know, different file versions, registry, etc, a fresh install is a sure shot, monsieur :D

I've tried the skip barber AI at Mills Metro OLA, and most of them do a rollover just after the quick chicane. Anyone else have this issue?

seems most cars have issues at that chicane, probably needs and AIW tweak.

So which is it? Proper uninstall? Short-cut delete folders and install new one on top? Just install over?

...A properly working update feature would be helpful, as stated about a thousand times!

Sure they can. You just need to do some more testing and learn how it works rather than just posting nonsense. You know you can always use something like SimSyncPro to sync the Installed and Manifests folders with everyone in the league and essentially bypass the new content management completely. But I would suggest learning how to use the new system. Then if you have valid arguments or questions you may get answers.

Now that rF2 can auto download the rfmod and rfcmp files on the fly, I see no reason not to embrace it.

Yeah but moving packages back and forth takes 20 minutes if you have everything. No?

Not if you actually move them instead of copy them. Cut and paste takes only seconds as Windows just needs to rewrite the path of each file. Copy and paste however will take much longer as all the files have to be duplicated.
