No worries mate. It's a pleasure for me. :)

What I have noticed is that S2 and S3 (S3 is calculated on the fly) from the live rF2 plugin do not match the same sector values from the XML log file. I checked the raw records coming from the plugin, and for example, the session shown in the image below, S2 was around 64 seconds etc while from XML log file, the same S2 its around 42 seconds....

Weird...do you think that's normal or am I missing something?

    Cheers

    You're welcome.

You had asked for the Dasboard (live timing and map in one screen) and here it is ;) Hopefully will release this week.

I also made some changes which will hopefully fix your timeouts.

Really strange. In live, S2 is much too high and S3 much too low, but S2+S3 gives the same result in both live and xml.
Now that you're saying that, I remember that the other live timing software that I tried don't show S3. Only S1, S2 and lap time.
Personally I missed S3 and always wondered why they do not show it. Maybe there's a problem with the calculation ?
    I'm afraid I can't help you :(

Yeah, S2 is too high in Live, but I checked the raw streaming value from the plugin and that's how it is.

True, S3 is not in plugin, but I am calculating it from (laptime - S1 -S2) and it seems ok to me. So, if its incorrect, it's coming from the plugin unless I am missing something.

I think I pointed it out.
The plugin shows you only the time from the starting line to the S1, S2 and finish line.
That means, from starting line to S1 you have 21 seconds. From S1 to S2, you have 42 seconds, but the plugin gives you 63 seconds, that's S1+S2 !
In other words, you have to calculate S2 and S3 in the software to show them in live. :)

Both style of displays are possible and I believe both exist in real racing so it may be interesting to have the possibility to switch from one display to the other. Some people may prefer the way the plugin works ?
Just a suggestion, if it is not too much work

S2 and S3 look better now thanks to you :) Hmm, yeah, maybe I'll do a vote and we'll see what they prefer. I know that no one will vote as not many seem to give a damn about the live timing anyway, hehehe.

    Excellent ! Well done !
Well, not so many people have the possibility to drive and have a live timing at the same time.
I always have my laptop at my side when I play and I like to see the time table while I sit in the garage ;)

I see some problems on the S4L broadcast.
1.- At the moment, on the livetiming page, there's activity on server 2 on Texas World Speedway.
But on the dashboard, all 3 servers show Sebring 12H, nothing on the livetiming on server 2 but the little numbers are moving on the map which is the wrong circuit...
2.- I see no gap on the livetiming page. It's practice session right now, but we should see gaps between driver best times.
3.- I have an error when opening the track page (some kind of "loop redirection").
4.- I have an error when opening live feed pages (Server Error in '/' Application).

Suggestion: It would be cool if we could see the weather conditions on the livetiming (sunny, overcast, rain percentage...)

    Thanks for the feedback Jeepy!

Hmm, what browser/hardware are you using? I am not getting the same issues reported in 1, 3 and 4.

I will check the Gap issue mentioned in point 2 :) And will also have a look at the weather conditions.

It's amazing how the system behaves differently on different browsers/hardware and resolutions.

    Cheers

Ah yeah, I'm using cookies to store when the map changes etc.

Hmmm, maybe its a bad thing for me to use cookies...I'll think about it.

How did you know you had to enable them???

At the moment you asked me what browser I'm using :)
I use to enable cookies only on the websites I trust. Sometimes I get problems not enabling them.
I just replied too quickly to your post...
You can leave it so, I must be the only one manually enabling cookies

Internet Explorer always asks for cookies, but Chrome does not, then sometimes I forget.
