So true. Here's the funny thing, anyone who has driven at least 2 cars in their life should know that what you expect a car to drive like and what it does is usually totally different. Don't know how many times I've jumped in a car expecting one thing and got something completely different. Went to buy a car when I was in the Army and jumped in a 1985 Mazda RX7. Felt nothing like I thought it would.

Mind you were talking about REAL cars here.

    LOL

    fact #1
a big mass of an engine behind creates oversteer
    fact #2
a big power in back wheels creates oversteer
    fact #3
    I dont remember fact #3

if you add to above that nobody needs oversteer, it looses valuable time at race, interestingly even at rallying, my case is rested.

And why post it in ISI/rf2 forum?

What does that have to do with trying to get the 49 in rf2?

Maybe a comparison how it's done in other games? Its not a sin to compare it with other stuff..

Of course it`s not a crime but I don`t see the relevance of posting a pCARS video of the 49 as that`s not going to help in any way to get it in rf2...

    Imo.

Same could be said about understeer.

My more emotional response would probably be much harsher so I won't post it(I hate understeer in little amounts and oversteer is far faster and easier to correct for me)

Mass in the back causes more oversteer, but mass in the back also causes more understeer. Just like mass in the front causes more understeer, but mass in the front also causes more oversteer. It all depends on what is going on with the car.

One of the coolest onboard video I have ever seen! Even with that horrible understeering :) (maybe because I love understeering :D)

It's not understeering - he clearly forgot to turn speed sensitive steering off! ;) For real don't know if it's aerodynamics or strong acceleration making front-end so light. Anyways he's probably having best time of his life. :)

When I read the article I got the impression that he's a bit ignorant and only see the car as a tool. But I hope he enjoyed it, the lucky bastard.

Yeah. It seemed like he saw it as an inferior machine, actually.

    It is, isnt it.

One of my dream cars when I was young was Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV.
I had some passenger drives in them but never had driven one.

Some years ago my cousin bought one and restored her. He actually takes her at Mille Miglia historic races in Italy and drives her there as she is a true Vintage.

I was offered a drive as he knows what a car nut I am.
Gearchange was smooth as butter as I always read at magazines.

I took her out on the highway and pressed gas pedal deap.

Hmm, she had nothing like the pull I was used to from my Fiat Punto Turbo I had then.
Also brakes feeled they were made of wood and to top it all, front was actually lifting at speed making steering feeling like it belonged to a boat.

I took her back, my cousin said "would you like some more?", I politely refused, it was more than enough, I dont think I wish to drive her again ever :D

The front lifting, the bad brakes, the smooth gearchanges. That all gives part of the car's character. It's own soul sort of. It's own way of interacting with you.

In my opinion inferior technically, does not mean less fun.

Plus, on another note, it's all relative to other cars from the same class/year/price range.

At 5:47, 5:48, first video, no way to left foot brake in this cockpit.

    Great videos both.
