rFactor2 Build 198 Released

hmm..I have g25, I feel it was worth the money many times.

New wheels are new wheels, not much to argue, expensive though..

 

OT but anyway. I have two racing rigs here. One with a G25 and the other with a CSR Elite. Playing GT5 or PCARS (and i think even netkar pro) there is not much difference. Only more force. But rfactor2 really makes a difference, i feel so much more details with the CSR Elite and with a lot more force, it's not even comparable. I often think it is similar to audio technology. When listening to a bad recorded 64kbit mp3 (GT5/PCARS..) there is not much use for a good amplifier and speakers. But listening to a well recorded 320kbit or lossless audio file (rf2) you very much hear the difference.

So, using rfactor2 i feel A LOT more on my CSR Elite, but it's a good experience on the G25 too.

I have build 198 "sampler installer" and I can not access some servers. (corvette, marussia)
this happens for one thing. in "sampler installer" these cars have a different name to that used in the lite Installer.

Same here. Feeling was better with 156.
the rattling is still there.

 

Yeah guys, I was just talking about not getting the right feeling on the sim. Tried Assetto Corsa and immediately felt in love.
In pCars it's almost like an "okay" rating, it passes, but nothing to felt in love about it.

But the rattling in the G27 on the rFactor2 sometimes makes me kinda afraid when I put my car off-track... the noise that the wheel produces make it seems to be about to explode, sick motions! They (developers) said that they're not happy with the G's encoding FFB.

My girlfriend it's getting in love with Gran Turismo 5. Everytime that she can came to my house w/o any faculty work to do, we're always having fun when I'm trying to show her the easiness and fun on our "driving world"... hehe! She didn't like to play the rF2 because she says that the rattling can hurt her hands...

 

Because some people are back to build 156, it is a cause of it?

 

Hey buddy,

Try to do a fresh install with the Sampler, here it worked just fine.
If it don't, uninstall the game completely, run the CCleaner just to make shure that everything it's normal on your machine and then start it again. A buddy just installed the Sampler b198 into the b156 w/o any problems...

On my opinion, I'm just getting bothered on this build by the rain effects and the smoke coming into the cockpit... that takes my attention away, kinda bothers me. If they fix it... just awesome!

 

I had such problems too. Update via Launcher was a crap, the lite version a crap.....only a fresh install on my windows game-pc worked. The same on the ubuntu server.

 

CSW here with GT2 rim. FFB is feeling lower here, maybe 20-25% below 156. I updated the install as I usually do. I just turned up the setting in the plr file and all is well.

 

I did a full install of Lite with all ISI content in it and it works perfect.

 

server installation didn`t work because i have to try all cars and tracks first in singleplayer to host some races correctly

without all cars and tracks i choose the corvette and under "selected vehicle filters" it shows the megane for example. There`s something mixed....

 

nothing like that here.
I usually update, but I found that installing Marussia on previous build, strrange things were happening, I couldnt find the car anyware, although I had it installed and used it in the servers.
After I did a fresh install with this build, everything is back to normal.

btw, did you see that All cars All tracks button is at top of screen?

 

I want a wet race with brabhams at Sebring, are you in?

 

Where? Singleplayer/Multiplayer? Do you have a screenshot please?

 

"All Cars All Tracks" is a SinglePlayer only feature.
go: Launcher, SinglePlayer, Series tab.
top center of the screen inside the Series section is the "All Cars All Tracks" button.
Accept.
then go: Vehicles tab, and select any car.
Track tab, select any track.

but i want to host races from my ubuntu server. there is no single/multiplayer available. With 156 i didn`t had such probs.

 

anything multiplayer, requires a pre-defined mod package like the ISI mods, or a custom Virtual Mod, created using the MAS2 tool in the Support folder.
