The build has nothing to do with the mod...

We also still have black mirrirs in the 60s... and so on..

How did you find out about the beta? Did it send you to the forum? The place where ALL beta information would be kept? and you thought the info wasn't going to be here?

I am still unsure why these simple things are hard for you people to grasp. Maybe some things are "lost in translation" or others are getting blamed on ISI because simply some of you are not reading what is in front of you. That is not their fault.

Tim has also stated before you bought RF2 for what it is... you had the option to take it or leave it. Impatience to have it right now got the better of some of you expecting a finished product when it clearly isn't finished.

Because it hasn't been re-released yet. I assume the 1.4x denotes this feature being switched on again. Please correct if not so.

    Ah ok. Thx
Did they introduce changes to the G27 ffb? It feels somehow different. Still not ok yeat, but different to 156.

Tell me about it! Mike Smith's (actor of Bubbles) head combined with my cousin's body from his wedding with our dog on his shoulders and now also Frank's cool sunglasses... think I ;) am starting to look almost perfect! :p

:) Yeah for sure they know it needs improvement but based on videos from Sebring it wasn't that bad start after all.

Probably this question is it appropriate to ask here. Is it planned to eliminate graphic incident associated with the penetration of particles of smoke and water through the texture of the cockpit? Or only I think it unacceptable? Attached screenshot for an example.

In the rain the road to build 198 I see the same strange situation. Clouds of water dust are in the cockpit!

Hey fellas I'm fairly new to rf2, but I race a lot of sims, one thing that bugs me atm and not sure if its just me or not but I've started to notice differences in the feeling of the ffb, in 156 it was hit and miss and seemed to depend on the track.

What happens is I get a deadzone of about 5-10 %
its not an actual deadzone as the wheel still turns, but its very loose.

In 156 I noticed on isi tracks it would be perfect and feel very weighty with no deadzone but when I moved to a non ish track it would go back to being loose again.

Now with 198 it feels loose on all tracks.

I have a G27 using the profiler at about 550
I've tried upping the ffb rate and backing the filter off which increases the weight but only once I'm past that deadzone area.

This makes it difficult to judge precise low speed cornering and causes over steer.

    Any ideas?

Try 107 overall effects strength in the logitec profiler and turn on centering spring but set it to 0 , should help .

G27 has an innate deadzone that is revealed by the high quality road texture and FFB of rF2. That deadzone though is very much smaller than 5-10 degrees. I'd say you have something else going on but be aware that this exists. Also be aware that the G27 deadzone is not located at any given angular position but instead happens whenever the FFB transitions from one direction to the other or lingers in the straight-line "no-force" situation.

Build 198 introduced shader issues where car skins and other parts of the car are now gray.

HDR off (good framerates, texture/shared issues):

HDR on (poor framerates, no texture/shared issues):

    Waiting for a fix ISI...

I've been thinking about the G27.

It's one awesome wheel, got it for almost three to four years and never got any problem with it.
And just yesterday came my GTEYE mod, but I coudn't install until now... vacation starting in three days haha!

The core of steering-wheels users it's more Logitech all the way, but I believe that the developers aren't much happier with the Force Feedback that the G family provides. Seen some guys talking about how the games are feeling better with Fanatec hardware and Thrustmaster, but I'm not getting that FEEL of the G's still pretty hot.

Maybe it's time for one upgrade? Don't know yet... what do you guys think?
