Hiya I'm running a Titan tripple screen in 3d vision Res 900x4420 Capped fps at 100 Watercooled & coreclock at 1160
I'm running rfactor 1 & 2 with 3 screens 22 inch. Nvidia GTX 275 with Matrox Triplehead2GO digital at 5040x1050
Not triple screen but just got a titan and use a single 2560x1440 screen, big improvement over my GTX480 SLI setup. All maxed with full fields on all tracks Ive tried including Monaco and Estoril sticking at my 60p v-sync rate, rest of the system is i7 2700k @5Ghz and 32GB ram win7x64. The 480's seemed to run out f ram more then anything having issues with mirrors on some tracks and full fields and back of grid was dropping down to about 40 during the day on some tracks. Titan hasnt got below 60 anywhere yet which definatly makes it a much more enjoyable experiance and easier to drive with 100% stable frame rates.
What is good fps and what do you have to turn down? I use the same with a 3770K cpu at 5GHZ at 2560*1600 with everything turned on and it is about 35-40 fps at the minimum (usually starts), then between 50 and 100 during a race. There's a plan to use 3 screens, that's why I'm asking. NO FXAA, but 2X AA.
I'm gonna wait for a GTX780 to see what it does next to the Titan, obviously the Titan is better but dont think the price justifys its performance but it ids f*c*in awesome. I have a GTX680 with 2gb I can run rFactor almost maxed and get 60fps at fullHD and 4xAA and HDR on triples, I should of got the 4gb that is where the card lets me down. So going of what I know now I only need a pinch of more power. What I would like to know is what is required to run 120+fps on triples in fullHD with everything all on, or with 60fps and 3D on. Which is what I ultimatley want.
Bit disappointing, Lime rock, private practice 50-60 fps,and stutters. Everything On -Full -HDR -MultiView. Resolution 6056x1200 (bezel compensation) AA 4. 3DMark11 -p13685
Turn off multi view (ajust fov to suit ) Turn down resolution ( I prefer 4400x900 ) (add all available in control panel from bezal correction to have good choice) Shadows to medium Tripple screen 3d is mind blowingly good but have to ajust see things to suit
so whats your lowest, average and highest fps with those settings Adrian? Also what AA level ? do you supersample transparency with those settings.
I prefer things in proportion (not wide front tyres on the 1960s open wheelers ), leave multiview on, native resolution and turn detail down, thanks for the advice though.
i know it is sacrelige to some but you can set your monitors in a straight line and use 25ish FOV. The wide tires are compensated for faily well by natural receding perspective of the outer monitors. You must weight the "I wish I had more wrap-around" against "Wow, I just gained 25 (or more) FPS!".
Titan SLI @ 8040 x1440 Performance is in 40 - 60 fps range using 32xS setting in Nvidia Inspector, no reflections, no hdr, multiview on. All of the problems with the current state sli code remain; highly variable frame rates @ tracks like Estoril, Brianza, Mills Park & Malaysia, high frame rendering latencies and stuttering on the same circuits in the same places, single digit frame rates with multiview and hdr on at the same time; frame rates in the low 20s with reflections turned on and hdr turned off. Most of these issues will have to be resolved with code and driver optimizations from ISI and Nvidia. Compared to the previous GTX680 4GB sli setup, everything is faster at the same settings including all of the effects mentioned above. On tracks that do not show stuttering, like Putnam, motion is smoother than the GTX680 with more AI on the track.
Why just full hd? 1440p looks A LOT better than full hd, so sharp you dont even need AA.. Hopefully at the end of year I will buy a 1440p lcd too but hard to find one with this res and low lag
I don't like very high resolutions, things look to digitised + takes alot of gpu power 4400x900 good for me, don't use AA either , don't need for 3d ( & again it takes alot of gpu power for small visual gain ) Everything else is on med/high her on also
