Try lowering the downforce, strange as it sounds it helped me. Im running 50 on the rear, 20 on front.
think i may have gone lower but cant remember now will have a look later.

Nice laps... faster than me so far too by a couple of seconds (I`m working on it though)

I didn`t really notice you locking up that much in that video though and even with default set up I haven`t had this locking up problem that a few guys have been talking about... I`ve been braking this car hard (after two or three warm up laps) and rarely have I locked up.

Funny how some guys seem to be locking up and others not.

Big + 1 for this too and a realistic view in the cams when looking from the T-cam... all that should be seen is the sides of the car not a nice clear back view.

I appreciate that some may drive from the T-cam view (although why you`d do that in a sim is beyond me tbh) so make it something that can be toggled on off but a realistic view from here would be appreciated too.

I'd say prevent driving from T-Cam in the first place, but that's just me ;)

I fiddled with the "self in rear view" in the player config file to try & achieve this (seeing the back of car in mirrors providing their angled correctly etc) but it didn't seem to do anything

I`d completely agree but I guess rf2 has to cater for all tastes...

Most mods dont actually have the back of the car modeled in the cockpit view, this saves some resources as in most cases its not needed. In order for self in rear view to work properly you need to use a mod that has the full car modeled when in the cockpit.

Ahh... I never thought about that :p but it`s a good point...

Would be a nice option to have though for those that want it and have enough pc grunt.

If it eats pc resource significantly
Then I'm happy to leave it out

    Thanks

Are all ok with this antistall thing?
All last night I was entering track, turned off rev limiter, pressed gas pedal, car was moving and suddenly revs went to red like clutch was pushed.
This happened in all gears, pressing clutch made no difference and I was getting top speed of 150km in 7th.
This happened 18 times out of 20, I thought my controller went bad, so I went offline and tried other cars and all was ok with them.

As I suspect this is antistall doing, is there a way to deactivate it?

Same thing happens to. Very rarely, but happens. It locks on beginning part of braking.

No, its not a problem, its set up in the hdv, which is a new feature since some of the latest builds.

Braking, lifting throttle and the button can close the rear flap.

    forget pressure for now,
    Try this:
    - Increase front downforce a tiny bit (1-2 clicks)
    - Increase all rear springs and rear dampers a tiny bit (1-2 clicks)
    - Ddecrease front springs and dampers a tiny bit (1-2 clicks)

Try again, if that is not enough, do the same again, hope that helps.

You cant stall those f1 anymore, if antistall is enabled you have 10 seconds to fully press the clutch to disable it, pressing the clutch half of the way does not work. Servers should deny auto-clutch from now for f1. If you dont press the clutch within 10 seconds the car is doing an emergency shutdown and it disables the engine. Thats current f1 tech and rule in real life.
