    Hello.

I'm starting a Saturn Sky Redline mod for rFactor 2, but I'm having trouble with gmotor materials as you can see in the following screenshot:

This material, whatever I do, is completely black.

    Does anybody have any idea?

I guess I should add a little more info:

My OS is Windows 8 Pro.
3DS Max faulty versions are both 3DS Max 9 and 2011
My graphic card is Nvidia GTX650, maybe it has something to do with it.
rFactor 2 version is up to date, and files have been copied to 3DS Max folders as shown in Car Modding Workflow.

It worked! Thank you very much.

I'm afraid it has been a noob mistake, hasn't it? :)

Hello, I have almost the same issue with gmotor material.

Actually i'm working with the "rF2_car_modding_workflow.pdf" tutorial.

When i try to create the material in 3ds max

1 - I click on the Standard button and i select the Multi/Sub-object material and delete sub materials and just keep first one:

    View attachment 7701

2 - I click on "temp_test (Standard" button and click on "Standard" and select sMotorMaterial on the list (the material is black)

    View attachment 7702

    3 - I click "OK" and a i got this message:

    View attachment 7703

4 - After 3 identical messages i have that (no shader):

    View attachment 7704

    What can i do?

    I have copy the "CoreShaders.MAS" file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010\hardwareshaders"

My 3ds Max is 2010 version and i work with Windows 7.

    Thanks for your help!!!

    Benjamin

Are you using the 32bit or the 64bit Max version?
