Well, I think the Mountford Corner braking area also has some higher poly density... But besides that there is nothing unusual about it. Is it just the Corvettes?
As Guimengo mentioned, and I hope he's right, it might be something to do with the tyres

First time in a while going through this thread, that's a shame to hear. I really love the work you've done with Longford, always a blast with the Howstons :D

Cheers :) Originally (c. Feb 2009) I'd budgeted between six and eighteen months to finish it. It's still six to eighteen months... And that's why it needs to stop :p

Yep, he/she has gone. It's getting pretty cut-throat for FPS down in that area, so I did what I had to do, and saw it didn't make much performance difference anyway

Believe me, i have whips cracking in one ear, and clocks ticking in the other. Unfortunately neither of them are for Longford (for Longford the whips and clocks are in my head).

The good news is there isn't much left to do before a new Longford release. The bad news is I'm tied up with a real work for the next few weeks. I think there will be a little spare time sometime in the next 6-8 weeks, but who knows.

It's an unpleasant situation for me because it now looks a lot better. I've retoned a whole bunch of textures for the lighting changes that came months ago, and lots of new or updated assets in the town. New settings for some materials. It's all much nicer, but it still needs a few last bits. I just can't spare any time for them yet :(

Thanks for keeping the interest in it though :)

The interest in this epic track will never go away I'm sure.

Thanks for the status update. [emoji4]

It's easy to be patient when what you have already provided us is 99% perfect (or maybe 98% based on your numbering ;) ). If only half the other tracks being worked on were in such good shape! Thanks for the perfectionism and squeezing things in when you have a chance.

    Thanks for the update Woo.

I'm sure you've realized by now that at times I can be like a kid waiting for Christmas. I saw those screen shots when you first posted them and immediately thought of how nice the blue Cobra will look blasting by the new/updated scenery.

Work comes first though - I kinda thought that was the situation. I'm just glad the project is still in the pipeline.

No worries. Perhaps taking some new screens will help me clear my focus for my actual work...
I'm sure my boss would believe that...

Also, apparently it's rF1's official 10th birthday today (or yesterday, Australian time). Thanks to ISI. As a sim driver and a modder rF1 has had a big and generally positive impact on my real life.
