I just noticed this--in the launcher! I thought the earlier reference was just to the download section on this site. The first 3rd party track to be granted "official distribution-worthy" status (and is legal). Well deserved. And it's not even v.1.0!!!!
Well, sometimes it's hard to tell when you don't "lopl" But yeah, there isn't a whole bunch of info there Yeah, it's pretty fantastic for the track to get that sort of promotion
Dang, it is on my launcher, I knew I had a low grade anti-spam program , Congrats woochoo! I keep trying to remember to visit the ole pond but I'm making that corner finally, I just keep going around corners checking out the fancy haybales (did ya see that Black Rat Snake in that one?) and anything else I might find. Come to think of it, I'm going to go see that old pond, right now. *edit Alright, some farmer has been out there and did a bunch of dirt work. Nature-wild pond is gone and there is a neatly made irrigation canal running around out there. Gone are the invisible catfish and now we're left with fresh crawfish, for bait in the river that must be somewhere down the road. Did that farmer obtain a permit for that extensive type of work? What about the watershed bureaucracy? I gotta admit it is pretty spiffy looking.
Congratulations Woochoo for being included in the donwloads section!!! Well deserved. Here a lap with the Brabham BT20. Regards
the farmer is the fish are the watershed bureaucracy, and she said it was good Something had to be done. There was no pond there back in the day. The channel does lead to two culverts I put a chunk of time into though. Two culverts that most people won't see. The other end leads to the river, which can be driven in since January this year. Thanks Nice driving, and nice thumbnail/preview image for the vid too!
I've been having tremendous amounts of fun this weekend. 2 reasons: the updated BT20, and not least, this magnificent version of Longford. Nothing, and I mean, no-thing beats that combo..! The ~IsR~ BT20 server is the place to be right now, with this track in rotation. Great racing is what's up, all day and all night. Just grabbed my third victory there in the last two days, and set a new PB in the process. I'm a little proud of my 2:07.183 Immense fun, especially being greedy on the brakes coming into the tight corners. The first section, with the underpass, King's Bridge... oh man. Love it! Thanks Woochoo for making this sim even greater.
the track is excellent, but we have a problem in the deployment of the cars on the grid, the cars collide with each other. I tried all the options, but the result is always that. I wanted to know if there is a way to remove this problem, because without this problem, the track is a masterpiece. @ hexagramme is possible try ur set,pls send me Babs
This sounds like a recurrence of a problem I had with build 0.90-0.91, where the cars would spawn on the grid for an online race, but they would slide sideways and crash into the other cars on the grid. I thought it was fixed. Is that what is happening? @hexagramme - sounds good!
Of course mate, I'll send it later today. I haven't worked too much on that setup, as is most often the case for me. Not really that much of setup guy, so to speak. Less negative camber (easier to get the power down), more caster (just personal pref.) and tweaking of the brake's max pedal force (to avoid lockups). But who know, maybe this setup fits your taste. Yeah, in one of the races I participated in (~IsR~ server) there were big problems getting the race going, due to cars colliding when spawning on the starting grid. That was pretty much the only track related issue I observed during the countless hours I spent on Longford this weekend.
I tried the three configuration of the grid, but the result does not change, the cars will push, causing the collision. If you want afternoon (European) we can find in the server and do some testing together. Babs
Thanks for the offer, but it's getting late here. I'll check the files over the next few days and see if there is anything clearly broken
Great races on these days with the BT20 at Longford, amazingly well made track. The ambiente is just perfect, speed, power slides and dead everywhere. I need to improve to catch you Hexagramme, low 2.08 at the moment.
I will wait for next build to try again, the current one makes me feel like floating over the track half of the time with the stuttering and low fps.
