+1 I was starting to think things were not looking hood on my pc & looked good on everyone else's , but this looks like a poor rf1 track (both conversions ) Again I appreciate the effort & sharing though
I don't think its that bad... there is far worse knocking around... I would love every track scratch built and at the same standards of Tuttle or Feels3 but that ain't gonna happen over night, I'm happy enough to be driving a F1 2013 car around Melbourne right now and not having to wait.
I guess so, There's a growing number if tracks around now that run fairly badly & look quite poor I guess it's only early days yet though
Very true but the problem for me is if I Uninstalled all the tracks in my rF2 folder that are not up to standard... Or rF2 standard!! I would be left with very few tracks to race around, I'm just treating them as a stop gap until better quality tracks come along.
Agreed Fingers crossed ISI dev team will make the Friday (this week) release on some updated content & even possibly another new track
I tested with AI at 100% witch is the standard setting. This gives me an idea of the AI quality. For instance, on Bahrain_v80 track, always with AI at 100%, F1 cars laps are very closed to the real ones !
I will be fixing or adding all of these thanks for your feedback Thanks I will fix this I will look into this I will see what I can do but even feels3 has asked for help with AI You cant please everyone and it is a beta....there is an uninstall and delete button thou. Everyone has to start somewhere and given time and knowledge it can will be learnt. I only release as Melbourne is raced this weekend and to get feedback and suggestions from the community. If you want to send me a pm with what I can do to lift the standard I welcome it.
i've just tried a few of your tracks the track surface isn't mapped properly for realroad oranpark is that bumpy i love it. its a very tough track to get a handle on just fix the realroad textures
I would agree with you about the realroad at Oran but thats not mapping but the road mesh. But I wouldnt say that about Melbourne. It rubbers up after a few laps nicely I thought.
i'm only a beginner converter myself and haven't bothered for a few months now but i think your realroad is broken you need to check it there's no marbles building up and the texture problem is more than likely the bump map did you create the bump map from the main track texture so the bumps and cracks line up together between the 2 textures it looks like you've used a grass bump map
Thanks wheelnut. I was testing a few different maps on a couple of different sections of road. This will be fixed on the next release.
