Blackwater Lake TT - WIP Hi folks! Work for Track Layout Contest 2012 winner has taken some steps forward. The name of the track was changed from Leafmoor Park to Blackwater Lake TT to better reflect forthcoming environment. Progression reports will be added to feels3's virtual circuits site and this WIP thread is meant for informing you forum users when new information is available and also for a place of discussion and feedback. I wish you both the best of luck with the creation of the track, altough luck has got little to do with it, talent and skill will more likely influence the project in a positive way. From reading the forum and driving the already released tracks, i know you both got both. The layout is very promising, really something to look out to. I really appriciate what you guys do for the community. tx alot!!!
If I read the plan correctly you will have the pits inside a tunnel? Nice idea. I see also a track layout around the lake. Looks very interesting. Best wishes for your project.
Thanks! Of course we have selfish reasons for doing this but it's always great when at the same time it serves other people too. I guess this is the desirable kind of selfishness? That's the plan yes. Currently we're waiting for local fire authorities to approve our planning permission. They were very concerned about safety issues but that shouldn't be a problem with efficient sprinkler and smoke ventilation systems backed up with some emergency generators. What lake, where? Well to be completely honest there are no plans for additional layouts at the moment. We have huge amount of work ahead of us - especially feels3 has. We already had to change the track profile to better suit the environment which also made it better suited for high power vehicles so probably there's no need for longer version. Every small lake with population count that high has road around so it's there for increasing the overall immersion. But as an idea it's very nice!
AFX, TrackMania and Stunt Car Racer meets rFactor 2! Well truth is it's not going to be like that. I want it to be a proper race track (and I'm 100% sure feels3 wants it too) so there's no way we could approve something which would look or feel ridiculous. But of course it's going to be very different from conventional real world race tracks. There's probably some exaggeration at contest candidate so we will be reshaping many parts of the track as we progress.
Darn, Feels! I'd be proud just to park my li'l ole Lola in the shade of that building and eat a bit o lunch. Maybe even take a nap before going back out on the track.
Is that your new home feels? I take it you dont like windows or maybe you just love tarmac so much that you'd rather use that instead of glass which has little use on a race track
I woke up after long sleep and now I don't like it anymore (and I liked it so much yesterday) I'll probably go into another direction with buildings architecture
