I think this would make a great series mod. The Aussie Cars, these cars are on some circuits here in Australia quicker than V8 Supercars. They are scaled down versions of several types of car, including the Holden Commodore, Ford Falcon & Toyota Aurion, powered by 1200CC Yamaha engine & produce 125bhp. The racing is always close as they are are pretty much set up the same.

    Here's the website:

    http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Legends Cars

    5/8 size
    1300cc Yamaha motorcycle engine
    5 speed sequential gearbox.
    Top speed 200 km/h
    0 - 100km/h in 4 seconds.

What circuit are they quicker then a V8 ?

Wakefield Park. Been to a lot of race meetings there till we moved to Qld & got talking to one of the track officials when the Aussie Racers were there & he was telling me, which isn't surprising, I'd say any reasonably tight circuit would suit the Aussie racers. I think if you looked you'd find that on some circuits their times wouldn't be far off the V8's.

Ahh, that was that mod Durge.....the Legends, it was fun.

True, but are not the Fujitsu series cars pretty much ex-V8 supercars is some cases being sold to drivers in the Fujitsu series when the big boys are done with them? I tried to find times as well & could find any :(. The Wakefeild site used to have them up, but it's been a long time since I had looked & they are gone.

I concede they are slower, but still fairly impressive that a 1200cc Aussie car could give a V8 a run for it's money ;).

LMAO, lets wait for a V8 Super Car, Aussie Racer Mod & Wakefield mod & have a crack at it ;)

i´m a big fan of the Aussie V8´s. It´s simply the best touring car challenge on this planet for me and i´ve seen some of aussie cars races. It´s great motorsport aswell but the first thing what comes to my mind was....cute. sorry mates. ;)
I think it can be a really great mod for rf / rf2 because it´s so different from the "standard" mods like F1 and so on. :)
btw..has anyone spotted the E-Class for the V8´s this year??

Not yet Racechicken, I think AMG will be keeping their cards close to their chest until the either the first Supercars meet on March 1st or a week out from it. Nissan has this week shown off their cars http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/nissan-switches-testing-strategy.

If I knew where to start with making an Aussie racers mod, I'd certainly have a go at it. It's always very close racing.
