    Guys,

I posted a technical comparison between the FFB in iRacing and rFactor2 over at the iRacing forum the other day. I used the Skip Barber and Lime Rock Park, now available in both sims.

I tried to repost the comparison here, but the post was too big so I posted it at Racedepartment instead. It should be (mostly) pleasant reading for rFactor2 fans, so have a look! :)

From somebody with a totally neutral opinion, and simply wants all the sims available to be great, I don't think iRacing competes with rFactor 2 in any way, when it comes to physics and ffb.

iRacing excels in being a racing simulation, as the online "jump in" and play is done brilliantly. It's the only place where you can find great clean racing at any time to suit you. That is the only reason I pay for iRacing.

In terms of physics? They look great in replays, but the cars are all very boring to drive. The ffb is is very poor. And the tracks have absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever.

In terms of tyre model, iRacing doesn't even come to within 1/10th of rFactor 2.

Hopefully things will change and iRacing improves. If there was a sim with rFactor physics and iRacing online system, I would play it forever!

I´ll not buy iracing to prove that. I´ll trust in the community. That community because i won´t register in that forum too.

In later versions of Windows you can go to Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Narrator and have it read to you.
    WARNING
Once you hear the ole girls voice you will probably just want to read it yourself.

    In terms of FFB?

rFactor 2 by a million miles.

    And the same for physics.

The reason I pay for iRacing is because it is the best online service, the fact I can join a race when I want, and good, clean races too, motivates me to race. And some of the community is great too, especially within specific vehicle forums.

But sometimes it is also the worst community I have ever seen. There are a huge amount of fanboys there, it annoys me. I play pretty much every sim that is out, the guys over there play iRacing only.

I agree the FFB in rF2 is better than iRacing, who's feel is much less connected. For me, the FFB in the GT-R in rF2 is the most complete experience yet in sims. Excellent work.
