Not really, or at least, not any more than any other car did in that era. Different sidepods, nose, different floor, different front wing end-plates. Besides, this is long before Sauber were the Ferrari satellite team, back when they were the Mercedes works team. Besides, we all know the truth... Most cars around then were things of beauty and purpose. Between 89 and 95 F1 cars were aesthetically at their best IMHO and liveries were frequently way more colourful and diverse than they are today.
Mmmm, I agree F1 cars from that era were unbelievably sexy. Modern F1 cars still look fascinating to me, all the technology and aerodynamics, but the cars above, as you said, they look more diverse and beautiful.
