I completely agree mate. This is the way everyone should be looking at this sim. :)

    :)

    ---

I just want to clarify... when I said in my last post:

"That does`nt mean I can say what I`d like to see implemented" etc etc...

The "can" should have been a "can`t"... just want to sort that as it`s quite important to what I`m saying imo. :)

It is obvious from some of the screenshots in that thread, that the game engine is capable of some very nice graphics. The fact that they are not currently in use tells us that either the physics plus the graphics together at this point will slow down the experience way too much, or ISI isn't concentrating on graphics at the moment, or even both.

Tim has told us that ISI will do the graphics tweaks near the end before gold so that suggests that even they want better graphics ouf of the sim, but are not prioritizing it as a game breaker atm. I am sure that things will definitely need to be tweaked in order to get decent graphics as well as physics for a lot of us. Heck my system, which isn't a very low end system can't run everything full for graphics at the moment without dropping me down to 30fps.

And also to clarify, ISI have no issue with people saying what they want. We've had issues lately, however, where the ability of the staff, or their right to have a job, becomes a part of the discussion, and FYI (everyone), that is no longer tolerated.

I guess that Tim is telling us to let ISI manage their own staff, makes sense to me :)

    correct me if i'm wrong
isn't theres a long list of titles using ISImotor 2.0 or later
most look better than rf1 and are more a finished product than rf1
look at gtr2 race07 they license the engine out and simbin finished it
reminds me of a splitenz song
History never repeats I tell myself before I go to sleep

Fair point Tim... I don`t think I`ve brought anyone`s ability or right to have a job anywhere into question... I did however answer a post about that in a positive way... still these things should not be discussed at all imo and won`t be again, certainly by me. :)

hey Tim didnt know there were so many. and ppl hate ISI looks like with out them there would not be many SIMS or RACING titles out there.

    1. how many of them are lining up to get the new engine ?
    2. will ISI keep it to themselves or sell it like the other 1 ?

    HOPE THEY KEEP IT.

Tim, is there anyone from ISI I can contact regarding superleague formula?

I heard it's actually pretty darn good physics wise, and much better than most people realize/assume.

I heard it uses a slightly updated version of rf1 engine and therefore the latest and greatest version of gmotor2.

I would just like some details if these updates were just for options and rules, or if there was anything that updated the actual physics/driving model itself, relative to rf1 1255.

Sorry for being off topic, obviously you may pm me if you would like.

Well yeah, I think most people overlook the impact ISI has had, and will have, on their hobby. I came to ISI because I saw it.

    1. See 2.
    2. We aren't considering those options yet.

if i understand correctly, pcars uses the same engine software as rfactor 2 (i think that the same cars reactions can be achieved with their graphic engine). If this is right, that would be really cooll if they do their game mod friendly. But i think it´s not.
this like rfactor would be great: http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/project-cars-community-gallery-37/

I'm not sure what engine pCARS uses now, but it's certainly nothing to do with rFactor2.
