Nordschleife 75 0.86 by motorfx http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=4451 this is another track thats been adapted for rf2, with quite a lot of remoddling, roads etc. still not quite finished, (waiting for some fixes to my modding tools) so again reflections not set up and other items still to sort.. it still looks good in the rain, but as its been fun racing around on it with the historics now and then ..I thought you might like to have another couple of layouts to test out .. this has working animated marshals . . although HDR profiles not set up it it will work with HDR turned on..
I tried Brabham at Kyalami, Silverstone, Glen and Nurburgring. in all motorfx's circuits I had big problems with force feedback (DFP steering wheel, standard settings). in all the curves (and straights) I have continuous shots on the steering wheel. in other circuits (ISI and modders) the FF is ok. anyone have the same problem?
Just tried Nordschleife 75 0.8 by motorfx and FFB is amazing with Spark F2, Clio, Megane and 370z (using CSR Elite). With the BT20 its indeed a bit bumpy and alot with the Formula 2. Even if the graphics quality isn't state of the art, it's alot fun to drive. rfactor2 and Nordschleife ... delicious! Thanks alot motorfx for the early release!
Nordschleife in rf2 Beta, how cool is this!! I dont care how unfinished it is, i took a drive in the 60's F1 and it was a hoot to drive, realy enjoyed it and i kept going arround and arround Abit dissapointed the shortcut in T3 does not work, that would have made loads of difference but other then that i'm very happy with this early version! Oh, and also more reason for ISI to allow for pre-rubbered tracks in rf2. I've quickly calculated the odds and it is scientifically proven that a Nordschleife will never have any substantial rubber on the tarmack
Thanks a ton for this WIP release, just wanted to let you know it works fine on the #116 build we're testing right now. Some notes: - pit exit light doesn't seem to work, it's always on "red" - I managed to put the megane (8:44 ;-) on the right of the armco and the catch fence (non-collidable?) on s/f - the tunnel leading up to the track seems a bit narrow, it feels larger in real life. All the best & keep up the good work, Uwe
I can now cross this off my Christmas present list for Santa. If you are reading this Motorfx, thank you.
I can confirm that there is some issue with the jerking FFB feel in the turns. This happens also in some ISI tracks, it is either issue or feature. I don't know... but it doesn't feel good.
If the TDF is from rf1 and don't work very good in rf2.. try change the TDF file rf2 values. Code: [TRACKVARS] RoadDryGrip=1.00 RoadWetGrip=0.85 RoadmetalGrip=0.80 RoadDustGrip=0.90 RoadBumpAmp=0.001 RoadBumpLen=3.0 RumbleDryGrip=0.96 RumbleWetGrip=0.60 RumbleBumpAmp=0.006 RumbleBumpLen=2.0 MiscBumpAmp=0.07 MiscBumpLen=4.0
Tremendous track! Thank you. I have tried (with T500RS wheel) the Megane, the Spark F2, the BT20 and the Eve F1 : very good!
this are motorfx's TDF settings: [TRACKVARS] RoadDryGrip=1.00 RoadWetGrip=0.85 RoadmetalGrip=0.80 RoadDustGrip=0.90 RoadBumpAmp=0.001 RoadBumpLen=3.0 RumbleDryGrip=0.96 RumbleWetGrip=0.60 RumbleBumpAmp=0.008 RumbleBumpLen=7.0 MiscBumpAmp=0.07 MiscBumpLen=4.0 P.S. i contacted motorfx and i linked him this discussion.
The relevant settings would be the two RoadBump ones, not RumbleBump. Unless the .tdf has messed up material associations (road being rumble, curbs being road instead of rumble), what Mauro quoted looks fine. Might be "pinched" polys though. Or lack of horizontal resolution in the road mesh. Adrian, if you modified the .tdf you'd get a mismatch as your .tdf would differ from the servers. On the mod level, you'd have a different mod installed than the server (different hash) and not be able to join the server.
I dont think the issue is with the force feedback itself, but seems to be more related to the car skipping sideways with a series of tiny hops rather than sliding smoothly.
