ISI just posted a wip picture of an officially licensed car on facebook!
Looks suspiciously like a Marussia F1 2012 to me!

    Always the best kind ;)
But the point remains this must be a GP2 or F1 surely?
And the steering wheel looks just like the Marrusia.
Personally I'd love the official GP2 and GP3 in the game but I think thats too much to ask :p

Think you are right on the money indeed :)

It sounds like a smart move, I think loads and loads of custom F1 cars will be based from how the physics perform on this car, and with that, a higher overall quality :)

rF2 already has an officially licensed F1 car. The Brabham. And, tbh, I'd much rather have a companion to that than any modern F1 machine.

    Ah well. I've still got my 60s F2s... :)

Lots of other historics licensed, but they won't be produced for a while, most likely.

Glad to hear there's more coming. In all honesty, I've driven the Megane once and the Clio once. Every other time I've fired up rF2 it's been for the historics. They're just too much damned fun.

Given that Marussia F1 claims their steering wheel is their own design, that definitely depicts a Marussia F1 wheel.

I'm not sure too many folks will be super-excited that its a Marussia, but it might provide mod teams with a good piece of "solid ground work" for full-on F1 mods.

  11. A real modern licensed F1 car is a VERY GOOD NEWS! Go ISI go! :D

Tim would that include cars from the same era as the Brabham so we can build more varied grids?

For mine what ever happens more "quality 1960's modders" are going to be drawn to rF2 after it's release, imo that is virtually a given.

Converts and no permissions are just not going to cut it anymore. p

An F1 car is an unbelievable machine to drive, no matter if it's a marussia or a redbull, give me a freaking break (to the 2 ppl that seemed to complain that it's "only" a marussia).

To be honest, I am just glad it looks like we will be getting the F1 regardless of who's F1 we get :)

Still there are only a handful of cars that can beat a Marrusia F1 and I will race anyone in any other category with the Marrusia and we will see what a piece of crap it is :D

The best thing about it is that all the modern F1's use the same tyres at least and it wouldn't be too hard for a good mod team to use the physics from this as a base to the faster F1's.

It`s good that rF2 will have modern F1. But I like F1 from 1994-2004 era. Is there a chance of having such car in rF2? I feel this years are unrepresented even in rF1... Such a shame.
