Just to push this important thread back to light: Any news from the pixsim guys? It is awfully quiet here, and the Lola is still the best car in rF2.... Would love an update.
I never understood the passion on this forum to ask for updates left right and center, especially for "the best car in rF2".
Passion is a good thing, it shows that somebody made something good other people care for. And especially the Lola was an amazing car literally right out of the box. Since it seems the pixsim guys know pretty well what they are doing and they said they would update the car and iron out the glitches, i am just hoping for some more information. No more, no less. And it has been almost half a year since the current version was posted by the pixsim team - i am quite sure that they didn't stop the development of the car...
Yea ibird me too.. am hoping eventually that some arms & hands will appear, & some high-res mirrors ..mainly graphical stuff I suppose, as for driving them - they're already superb with a real feeling of weight & mass oh yea: & the unburnt fuel sticking out of the exhaust
Hi all, no we are not dead. From my side I'm working on something else (perhaps you can see few screen in 3 or 4 weeks ) and waiting the RF2 final version to do a complete Lola T280 update. concerning the template, your actual version have some mistakes in the mapping, particulary on the front hood. So that's why we haven't publish the template. It will be a pity, if you need to redone your skins after the final version.
Can't wait to test your corrected model !!! For the skin, we just need them for an open race in 2 weeks, updating them after rF2 Gold shouldn't be a problem, even recreate them from scratch. Why not release a WIP PSD? We often choose cars with templates for our opens to differentiate opponents. Thanks i advance
Really happy you are still on it. Cant wait to see your new stuff and final Lola. Thank you for all your work!!
I don't think there is going to be a "gold" release, I guess it will just get to the stage that rf2 is deemed good enough to start being advertised to all (although ongoing development will continue), then I guess we can call it released
Hi pixsim, are you guys still working on Charade 1972, and do you intend to make it for rF2? If I recall correctly, we have seen a screen of it. It would be awesome to have this track to the historic cars. Thank you
This car is the only car that kills my frame rates ( fps is fairly solid everywhere else for me ) No idea why as graphically it dosnt look any better than the other (decent looking) cars but guess also this is why I've never enjoyed it when I've tried it
Yes Helund_90, my personnal project is charade 72 for RF2, but I don't know if it will public or not. I'm leaving at 10 kms of this track, so I have datas to done it, very accurate, more than the GPL version. I have pass more time to search historical data than to build the track. But it's a another subject than the lola The target, is not to do the best car in RF2, we done model for our pleasure conform at our vision ( details , handling,..) and we give our work at the community. no more. If people are not happy with our staff, it's not a problem, they are lot of mods and racing game on the simracing planets where they can take fun.
I run rf2 under 3DVision, and it seems to be the only car with proper 3D depth in the mirrors. Looks fantastic.
