Chicane layout AI has an about 2 seconds faster laptime (120%) ! GREAT! Although they are not driving the chicane ... hihihi View attachment 4252
Seems like is not the Chicane layout selected on the screenshot. Here I get tire barriers blocking the straight and the AI does drive through the chicane.
So I guess all the AI drivers were wondering - "where is this guy going?", when they saw you driving through chicanes
This track is a nice fit with the 370Z. The updates have brought some new character to it as well. Very nice.
It isn't an update. It was built from scratch. Already existing 0.2 version was created by Alex Sawczuk.
Just wanted to say cheers Feels for this work. Can't believe you did this so quick, it's brilliant visually, better than Croft, which was already the best looking track in rF2. It has also become my favourite track now in game because it's so good in the Brabham. Keep thinking how good a Cadwell Park would be from you if your bored...haha. Great work
Yaeh, i'm loving so mucht this track now. ...photographically too! Thanks to feels3 View attachment 4290
I love this track! It has character, and even though the surrounding area is featureless and bland (I imagine the real track must be like this) I can still pick out turn-in and track-out points because you paid so much fine attention to detail. I love tracks that have this dirty rough look to them. Thank you for this!
No, same here, 13 fps in the pits, the only good area fps wise is around the backstretch. It's quite weird though as I get good fps at Croft which seems to be the more detailed track, any ideas what areas to look into? Cheers, Uwe PS: I just added putnam park chicane to rF2 Rank.
*sigh* Sadly this track suffers from the same problem as many other addon tracks (and even some generic ISI tracks): Both layout laptimes register under the same name (I drove the chicane layout first so my f2 time on the non chicane layout got registered there, too). Any chance of a patch before gold? Cheers, Uwe
Compare performance with and without environment reflections. Also, check CPU usage in both cases. You can usually expect environment reflections to have noticeable impact on perfomance.
However, turning off environment reflections does not free up the VRAM. The cube maps are still being generated, even if they aren't being used.
