Thanks Nikos, I found it. This picture, was about a locked topic.....duh...... There was a "you CAN reply to topics etc." but not that one I might need some sleep
I suppose you are refering to the 'Looking for a custom skin thread'. Yes, this thread was locked, but if you look at last post by Jean there, you will find a link to where this discussion is continuing now.
Almost; it was the "submit" topic in which I just wanted to comment on a skin. But; it works fine now Thanks!
Guys, just look what Gorgias made for me: View attachment 4000 Now is that a cool car or what?? I thank Gorgias very much for making this for me; he's a REALY nice guy and I am as grateful as can be! I just smiled when I saw the car, got goosebumps and was pretty exited; my wife asked me if I was watching porn......and I just went: "no, this is way better!" This is such a nice thing he did, I just can't believe it; I'm happy as can be! Thanks again Gorgias!!
Ok guys, just thought i'd post this up, it's not brilliant but it's the first time i've skinned a car in any sim...basically it's just a change of colour and a logo...not as good as some others on here, but i've only been at for about 4 hours. Thanks go to nikos for pointing me to a lovely little freeware program called GIMP, and also to the guys at sr4l for providing the required info...without it this would not have been possible. Thankyou.
Thanks B1K3R , that skin was just a basic test to see if i could get the skin in the game, and also to learn the very basic's of Gimp, thier will be more to come!
Nice one Brian! But how did you get it in the game? I thought that was only online visible...... But lets say; you drive the 88 EVE, I'll be driving that number too; doesn't it get mixed up than? There are only so many slots available?
Hi Wim, don't panick mate...that test was in singleplayer (i've not been online for age's), and as far as i know rf2 dosen't support individual skins for online use yet...but yes you can use them in singleplayer with no problems.
Wim, inside rfactor2\UserData\player\Settings\ create a folder named HistoricOpenWheels. In there you place your .dds file (your skin). Get into game, choose your car, press upgrades(?) and there you cycle and you can look at your skin and go drive it. When you want to go online in rfactor2\UserData\player\Settings\ you must create a folder named sr4l and place ALL .dds files you have downloded from site so you can see other players skins too.
