Rage quitting FTW! I do that a lot too, especially with car upgrade files and then I remember whole rF2 must be restarted to changes take effect in those and I get embrassed I think that I need to learn AIW someday, I only have done it in BTB, so probably am not much of help for that, sorry.
Make sure you have NumLock off, otherwise your keyboard controls (in aiw editor) will be messed up. To be honest, there are many bugs in aiw editor which probably will be addressed in some point. Cheers!
I still do AIW in BTB for rF2 tracks too But I am not sure if it gives best results, seems like the code has changed a bit.
This project is still alive. I have some free time on my hands atm, so I have been finishing a few things up. I decided to put a bit more effort into it and fix up some textures, added marshals, trees and spectators.
I don't know if the novelty for this has worn off, but here it is anyway, maybe some people might enjoy it. http://www.mediafire.com/?xsfkr7e37w9qzbp AIW is a bit suss on race day and usually just crashes into the fire, but it works okish in practice The problem is with the warm up lap and the teleport spot, they are too slow over the jump on warmup and when you skip warmup lap they teleport right into the fire. Its a simple fix that I completely forgot to fix and I have run out of free time so I will fix it at a later date. Thanks to jtbo for help with the cam file and aiw.
Oh, man, this is nuts with the 370's--- it was fun though, just stayin' alive is tough (I think that is a song). I guess I'm going to see if the clio fares better. Any one tried the F2?. Probably would be a strain to get out of the corral.
