    Release post http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7589-rF2-Camp-Fire-WIP?p=113930&viewfull=1#post113930

A simple model, not really a track, but a nice cosy place to sit and discuss things and stuff. (this idea was inspired by Buddahtree)

Flame still needs a lot of work, colour fixing and dynamics etc.

It also needs aiw (mainly for spawning) and cam's. I don't really have time to do those so if anyone is interested please speak up.

Oh yeah, (almost forgot) it needs a jump too, so if anyone has any jump designs please share :)

[ED] New vid with better looking fire.

What the heck... are you working on the Nurby 24 hours in secrecy? ;-)

    Nice! :D

Btw, mianiak refers to "End of free Mods" thread and discussion around "Camp Fire" about modding and ethics.

    Cheers!

HAHA! I have no idea what your talking about [IMG]

    --------------

I got the fire looking a bit nicer, probably needs some more frames so it doesn't resemble a strobe light. I updated the first post with a new video.

Someone needs to make Mosport, and add these into the night lighting there. Pronto. :)

PS: I wouldn't say no to a vintage 1967 version of it, either... hint hint ;)

Ahh yes that solves it! I was trying to think how a figure 8 would work with the cross over and the fire in the middle, it never occurred to me to have 2 jumps.
    Something like this?

I have only one concrete ramp design, very simple and even child could do better, it is also only 1m tall from high end, don't know if that would be usable, might be that 2-3m tall is needed with increasing angle towards end? Of course with proper texturing one could make such ramp to be like steel frame, wooden etc. I can't do graphics though.

I love track idea, has nice level of crazyness, which I find good! :)

hmm, that brings up a point, one ramp should be higher than the other so the cars don't crash, but a 1m ramp might be nice, the car can go through the fire, I can add some sparks on the tdf.

It is not necessary to have other ramp higher.

When car lefts ramp, it still keeps climbing, rate varies with speed, suspension, downforce etc etc. But because of inertia ramp angle and springs extending there is quite bit of movement upwards.

With 1m ramp it is easy to reach 1m additional height with 100kph according to Motec logs.

Idea would then be match the speed properly for given car to reach other side properly, not too fast, not too slow.

10m is perhaps something that still can be jumped with majority of vehicles, except F1, I think that can't jump at all. no matter what. Of course same can be with most high aero cars.

OK, almost done, If the aiw was set up I'd release it now, but I have run out of time this weekend, it will have to wait till next weekend, (unless someone volunteers to do it for me :D). I couldn't get sparks to fly as it went through the flame though, I will have to leave that for a later date.

I have watched this many times now, but I have not been able to form words, something in that fire is hypnotic

Incredible well done flame animation, perhaps tad red, but it really just adds to mood, so I like it being tad red, really awesome job!

Thanks, I'm stuck with the aiw, it's not really my thing, I tried it earlier but ended up rage quitting :D I think it might be the way I have my keyboard mapped in dev mode and it clashed with the aiw controls.
