rF2 Pedal & FFB Overlay Plugin

    27 June 2014
Version 11 released, functionally identical to version 10 but adds an x64 build of the DLL that will work with rF2 unstable build 767. The zip now contains both 32-bit and 64-bit builds of the DLL, extract both to the Plugins folder and rF2 will choose the correct one for the rF2 exe you're using.

    Older builds:

The first build of a basic pedal overlay plugin is available here:
    http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/2259-Pedals-overlay?p=96561&viewfull=1#post96561

For rF2 builds prior to 118:
Version 3 now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=98854&viewfull=1#post98854

For rF2 build 118 (and hopefully beyond):
Version 4 now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=108574&viewfull=1#post108574

For rF2 build 218 (and hopefully beyond):
Version 5 now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=175093&viewfull=1#post175093

Version 6 is now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=188552&viewfull=1#post188552

Version 7 is now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=198126&viewfull=1#post198126

Version 8 is now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=198184&viewfull=1#post198184

If you run with UAC enabled please don't bother with version 7 as it won't work, please use version 8 instead!

Version 9 is now available at http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7546-rF2-Pedal-Overlay-Plugin?p=198372&viewfull=1#post198372.

Fingers crossed version 9 now really is compatible with UAC.

Version 10 is now available, attached to this post.

    Version 10 adds:

    * Steering bar (rendered horizontally below pedal/FFB bars)
    * Ini file option to disable overlay (OverlayEnabled=True|False, defaults to True)
    * Ini file option to display filtered inputs (FilteredInputs=True|False, defaults to False)
    * Rebuilt against latest InternalsPlugin.hpp (version 6). Presumably this means it will require rF2 build 660 or above.

I'll keep a copy of the latest version attached to this post to make things a bit easier.

2017-11-06 I've just re-attached the latest zip to this post

This is great, thank you! Is it possible for you to add ini file where we can adjust screen coordinates of indicators to our liking?

    Glad you like it :)

Yeah, I'll add an ini file when I get a mo. It'll be more code than the overlay itself as thanks to the V05 extensions to the API this was extremely easy to create. :)

    good stuf' TechAde.
"hardware plugin enable/disable" doesn't seem to toggle this on/off, it's always ON.

Great little plugin. Good thing you added the position offset as well. One minor thing though, would it be possible to flip the pedals, ie. clutch on left, brake, throttle on right?

    Good idea, thanks krivjur!

Here's version 3, I've swapped the order of the pedal bars so it's now clutch on the left, then brake, then throttle. Quite why I didn't do it this way around to start with I don't know!

I've also added a fourth bar to the far right which shows FFB force, useful for telling if forces are clipping.

Thanks for this great plug in. With the very useful FFB information, I have been able to transform my RF2 experience. I was scrambling around in the dark trying to tweak and change settings for my G27. I had ended up with settings of 107% in profiler, 24 filter and 2.0 in game FFB. All the rawness and FFB spikes, I assumed, were due to the inability of the G27.
Having used this plugin and monitoring the FFB read out, I have now adjusted the settings to 107%, 8 filter and between .65 and .75 in game FFB (depending on the car. For example the new F2 is .75, Meganes .70 and Clio .65) and.........what a difference!!!
My G27 now feels fantastic again, as it does in every decent sim worth playing.
    Many thanks mate.

I can't get this to show up on screen either. I have installed the .dll and .ini files in the proper folder, and installed the Visual C++ runtimes, but it's still not working. I have other plugins that work (TrackIR and Fanaleds), so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
