Hello all, I had the privilege of visiting the ISI office today in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Met Gjon, and had a great conversation about the past, present and future of rFactor. The tail end of our conversation was me asking is it possible to take all these skins and make a "real names and skins" pack, and he sees no reason why not. We need to assemble these and get it going so that our races against the AI are the "real" cars! Boxer only has about 6-8 cars left. Who is a pro 'modder' who can help make this happen? jpb
BTCC Civic Top Gear inspired, I moved away from making the 1:1 replica as it was ugly as hell . Anyone have an ISIR skin I can use to make my own? I have found the template and opened in Photoshop but unsure how to get it to show in the game.
You need to save the skin as DDS file format... (Need nVidia Plugin for that) PS DDS Plug in link: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop file name format <name>"_ALT".dds i.e "C6_17_ALT.dds" Where to place the file: 1. load rf2 2. Go to Vehicle selection screen 3. Highlight the vehicle you want to add skin to 4. Click on "tuning" at the bottom of the screen. (This will load the garage view). 5. Click "Create Dir" - this create the required directory. The path is displayed at the top of the screen.. - copy your DDS file to this directory.(you may do this while the game is running) (This window is where you load your skins... use the "Variants" arrow buttons to cycle through the various stored skins in this path - you may need to click reload to refresh the skins if you place new skins while the game is running.) in older builds you may need to re-start rF2 in order to load new skins.
