I can't seem to get any Skip Barber skins to work, even though I'm using the correct system. Can someone confirm that it's not just me having problems?
I gave it some testing and same here, until I shortened the file name and it worked. Make a folder:- Code: \UserData\player\Settings\ISI_SkipBarber_2013\SKIPBARBER_96\ Then add files to that folder eg. Code: DJC_ALT.dds DJC_ALTHELMET.dds View attachment 5466 Think there is a bug if file name is too big then it does not see the file. That is my best guess anyway. I think no more than 7 letters in your file name (10 letters including the ALT that you still need). also, Ignore what people have said that you need to use the vehicle name in the file name, you don't. Brilliant! Cheers. I also had no idea that you could edit your helmet? Where did you get the template?
I never found a template. What I did, was I Extracted the DDS file straight from the 'SkipBarber_TEAMS.mas' file then edited it.
Mon deuxiemes skin est celui d'un Nissan 370z LIEN DE TELECHARGEMENT : http://www.sendspace.com/file/s3ie4x
Nice skin Maxredbull. Here is a better download link of it with all the correct folders intact to make it easier for people to install. I also added ALT to file names. Download link
I seem to get some strange logo ghosting (as in, logos that I don't want are showing up for some reason) when I'm making a skin for the 370Z, is there a bug in the template? Am I exporting the .DDS incorrectly?
You using photoshop? It's the alpha channel you need to edit too. This sets what parts you want glossy and what parts you don't want glossy. Example of what's possible:- View attachment 5482
Thx DJ !! I also moved some of the other great 370 skins from here into that folder following this format renameing them to 5alt,6,7 ectt.. and they all work !!
How can i get the Nissan GTR Skins ingame? In another post i have found the information about the 370z but not for the GTR.

You have to create some folders inside the "settings" folder (...rFactor2DataFolder\UserData\player\Settings). For the GTR create the folder "NissanGTR". Inside that folder create a folder for the car you want to add a skin. The GTR mod has two cars, 00 and 02. The possible folder names are "NGTR_00" and "NGTR_02". Copy your skin (dds-file) inside the folder (the file name of the dds file has to be something like this: "NGTR_02alt1.dds). You should end up with a folder structure like this (...rFactor2DataFolder\UserData\player\Settings\NissanGTR\NGTR_00). If you would like to add a skin for a different mod and you don't know the folder name have a look at "rFactor2DataFolder\Installed\Vehicles". This should be the main folder for the mod. The second part (folder) is a bit harder to find. It has to be named like the VEH-file of the car. You have to open the ...teams.mas file of the mod with MAS2.exe.
mmh. know i have this structure: E:\rFactor2\UserData\Steffen\Settings\NissanGTR\NGTR_00 Where is the mistake? Current build installed.
