Hello fellow racers Until we have a proper section/portal for car setups, let's share them here. I'm sure many will find them useful. I'll start first. Car: Clio Mod Version: 104 Track: Croft Best time: 1m31s7ms Notes: This setup could be used for other tracks with little tweaks. Game Build: 101 (works well with 107 too) File: View attachment 3787
I've made this thread sticky. For now, please note what build and version of the mod your setup was made with also? Also note, there are some links here with guides on car setup: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/7537-How-to-set-up-your-car
Car: FR3.5 Mod Version: 104 Track: Sebring Best time: 1m43s700ms Notes: Quick setup for a pick up racing, but It worked well to me. Game Build: 107 Car: Nissan GTR Mod Version: 104 Track: Mid Ohio (no chicane) Best time: 1m15s800ms Notes: Stable setup I used for a 100Laps event. Game Build: 101 (works well with 107 too)
Car: GT1 Nissan GTR Mod Version: 1.1 (104?) Track: Malaysian GP Best time: Notes: Well behaving setup that makes learning new layouts quite easy, great for less experienced ones too for learning the car. Game Build: 101
Cool Thanks, I will give your sebring F3.5 setup a go. I love your GTR setup since I found it a another forum, I have been racing AI at sebring but my best of 1:44.1 was 4 seconds behind the 120% AI lol so maybe this will get me up closer with them.
[x]:\Users\[yourname]\Documents\rFactor2\UserData\player\Settings\[trackname folder] I seem to have .svm files in the Settings folder itself but I'm not sure why they are not in a track specific folder or if dumping .svm setup files in there works as well as a track folder. I'm sure there are more knowledgeable folks here that could elaborate.
Good stuff here guys... as someone who likes to try and work out good setups (to a basic degree) I don`t always get them right or have much time to mess around too much with them so I`m sure I`ll find this very helpful. If I ever get a setup worth posting I`ll post it up.
Brabham BT20 setup for Belgiangp_1966 Car: Brabham BT20 Mod Version: 1.1 Track: Belgiangp_1966 Best time: Confidential Notes: Fly over the track no matter if good or bad weather. Do your shifting @8900 RPM. Apply gas pedal on turns to oversteer with control. On wet be nice and smooth with the brakes or if you dare kick the brake pedal a few times while you downshift. Game Build: 107 View attachment 3851 (wet weather - set wet compound) View attachment 3853 (dry weather) Have fun
Just want to take the time to thank everyone so far who has posted setups. Very nice of you to do so to help us back markers out
I am really enjoying driving the Formula Renault 3.5 at the moment, but I know next to nothing about tuning and don't possess the patience for "trial and error" stabs in the dark. So what I am asking is if someone could either share or create a FR3.5 tune for both Infinion Raceway and Mills Outer Loop C. Thanks in advance for any help.
i don't even know whether this is good, but...... Car: Nissan GTR Mod Version: 104 Track: Sebring 12h config Best time: 1m57s231ms Notes: tried about 20 laps. no problems if you don't lock up. Game Build: 101 (works well with 107 too) View attachment 3864
Car: FR3.5 Mod Version: 104 Track: Portugal Best time: 1m26s713ms not sure if thats my fastest but was my best lap last session. Notes: Setup I found at Racedepartment.com originally by Tomasz Matuszewski, I may have made some tweaks but cant remember as I use this as a base for all my setups with the f3.5. Medium downforce used here Game Build: 107
