    Yes sir...:) If 12cm are RMSE(z), the Accuracy(z) is 24cm. A(z)=1.96*RMSE(z)

IIRC all DEM are built from LiDAR, Google Earth queries the same data as you would find from those DEM. I'd like to think the LiDAR is the purest form of data you'll find.

    DEM derived from several terrain/surface scanning;

    Laser/Lidar/Ladar
    Standard Radar
    Droppler
    Airborne Radar
    Satellite Radar
    Photogrammetry interpolation by stereo images
    GPS stations
    Theodolite
    Topography

    ...and more.

Google Earth is calling for grid stuff and of course CAN'T be too accurate in any field. Vertical resolutions are very low and inaccurate but depends the area you're working on but you'll never get very high resolution material working with that platform. It's just a visualization software, not a GIS software (like Globalmapper eg.)

Yes i talk 1 meter horizontal. Vertical is very good. maybe 25cm accuracy.

I may not have explained well and generated misunderstandings.

BFD Looks like a loft to me. What's the point of LIDAR if its data doesn't define tracks surface?

In the video the track don't have cambers.

The Lidar data have the heights!. I use the points for reference to get the heights of road and terrain. The points sample in video is a reduce sample for testings and developing.

Keep it up, Mario! I'll be taking a different approach but also use DEM-data - only I've exported both elevations and aerial photo-maps in hires .BMP squares of 500x500 meters. The elevation maps will the be used as displacement, this way I get all axis with pretty good accuracy.

Hope you find a good source for photo references :)

been seeing this RA project on the table for such a long time now, several years?
since this track may not have any completion priority, i hope this track announcement here doesn't prevent other talented modders from attempting another rendition of this track.

Road Atlanta is a must for any simulation, a polished version never made it into rf1 because it's construction had been claimed by a respected modder, but it was never really completed after many long years.
most modders don't normally step on each others toes with same projects, hope this doesn't fall to that same demise.
    ...jus sayin'

There was a nice version of Road Atlanta for rF1 which had elevations from GPS data. It had some bugs that were easily fixed. None of the fixes really got released publicly though. The bugs that come to mind were no night lighting, pit exit didn't line up with the AIW file and skybox only worked when texture detail was set to high. Otherwise it was a really nice track.

Everyone would like to have your favorite circuit in rf2 but create circuits takes time and motivation.
For those who have time and like to create things I'm trying to create the tools and resources to create tracks.

Right now my priority is not to make circuits but to create tools and aids.

Yes, it's true. And, I thought it was excellent, too. Had some incredibly fun races there a few years back in a Historix league. IIRC, there were something like 20 lead changes in that race.
