I just came across this online so I figured I'd share. It's not for crispness, it's for beauty and artistic value (and also super old photo) View attachment 10264
Some new progress screenshots of the Porsche 962C have been posted on our site. Check them out HERE Bear in mind there is still work to be done and we're just showing off some progress shots. Blue rim covers won't be that way in the release of the car.
The exterior is looking nice. There's no rush getting that thing out, certainly once your group learns modding for rf2 better with the Mazda things will flow faster for the Porsche.
Yeah and as the game keeps changing there will be more to learn and update. But so far we're doing pretty well and the cars are progressing in game a lot easier now that we know through the Mazda 787B and the IFS3 cars. Main thing now is to keep up on physics and sounds, would be good to find a couple more people who can help there as it would allow us to get things done faster. Hopefully I'll find some people soon.
Well done petro the car feels better now but the fbb is so strong but doesnt matter lookin forward to f1 2008 mod as well. Keep up the good work!!
Yes the car looks great in game. Testament of the hard work Stephen (Liquid4653) is putting into these cars. We're really proud of him and the way he's picked up rF2. For those of you that don't know, Stephen is our only RACE07 In-Game specialist. When we were having issues with getting things in rF2, he took it upon himself to learn and help the group get our cars in game, also a game series he never played before because he never had rF1 being a RACE07 fan, and only bought rF2 to help us with our mods. So a big thank you to him and his dedication to making these mods a reality. All I need now is a cloning machine to clone him and some of the other guys and then we'd be able to flood you guys with stuff...Too bad we don't have one of those.
When you find one Petros, let me know.. the sooner I finish my work, the sooner I can start on the other work
This could well have been posted before in this thread... worth posting again though even if it has been. Notice the steering here too, when going at top(ish) speed on the straights there`s no bangs or jolts there (I wouldn`t really expect any) it`s just small amounts of feedback coming through the wheel but you can tell Mr. Herbert is feeling the power and weight of the car through the wheel. Btw boblevieux, that video shows the 767B.
this car on the Le Mans 1991 track is the most incredible immersion yet! Stunning car! Also on VLM's Sebring just stupendous! THx for such a great car.
Right Petros. Finally have some time to take this one on the track. Will do some extensive testing and report back. Long time no "see" btw. Hope you are well.
@baked bean & Philman: Porsche and Sauber are in game and in the queue for physics. We only have 1 physics guy for open wheelers and 1 for non open wheelers. We are looking for more people willing to help, but we're working as fast as possible to get them done and released. @Jan Cato Larsen: Hey mate, long time no see! I'm well man, hope all is well with you? Good to see you around man, look forward to catching up.
Hi, thanks for this. Unfortunately, this mod halves my fps. Tried player and opponent detail on low even but only gained 3-5 fps. My PC specs are low, I know, but everything else runs great. Hope us lower spec guys are gonna be able to run your work and expect it to perform similarly to other carsets. I'd hate to miss out! Also, can I have more backwards seat movement please? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Unfortunately with technology and these games moving so much forward in their technological abilities we won't be able to support the lower end comp users too much. I myself had to update components on my PC in order to be able to stay in touch with the new requirements from games and mods. We can do the best we can but not more than that I'm afraid. I'll have a talk to the guys about the seat movement. Thanks for the post.
I would suggest to make the range wider forward and backward (not only your mods but others too) as I use 3D Vision and low FOV (30) and adjust my screen so that the screen is where the windshield should be and so I have to move the seat (position) more forward so that the virtual wheel reaches "out of the screen" matching up with my real wheel. (sorry for my not so good/bad English) TIA
