    Really depends on the corner. At monaco, I think almost only the french are talking about 'piscine', were english are reffering to swimmingpool, and also in holland we use the dutch word (zwembad), and I guess that almost every language uses it's own naming for that section. But then on a track like spa indeed, everyone uses the local names.

    I'm going for "TV names" that the rest of the world would usually hear. This, therefore, quite a mixture of local language and (for our usage, at least), English. Mills, for example, is a US based track, names will be English (although that language is itself a mixture, you know what I mean).

    Monaco will have a mixture of English and French, as it is today, but the old versions. Tunnel, hairpin and chicane will be English, but named appropriately. I'm looking for the names that Jim Clark might have nudged Graham Hill and started talking about, defining turns by the same name we use. So sources like the video lap Hill did, are ideal, although the track guides will also have the modern name noted. There also has to be artistic license about issues like this. I'm calling Tabac, Tabac. :)

    Just copying in some suggestions I had via email so I don't lose them.

    T10 (chicane): Snake, because that's the only way to get through safely;
    T11 (decreasing radius): Scorpion, because the previous corner (chicane) is named after an animal as well, has the shape of a scorpion's tail, and it can sting like a vicious scorpion!!;
    T13 (quad-apex): Elbow, because that’s what it is basically.

    Mythology can be a good source for names.

    If I ever make a fantasy track, I'll cal T1 Ragnarok ;)

    How about calling Turn 11 Devil's Elbow? Homage to Devil's Playground on Pikes Peak AND a super fitting name.

    Let's get this out of the dust (for as least one post). I think it might be nice to name one of the Mills corners after Sid Watkins. He has been of great importancy to the sport, especially F1. In my opinion it would be a nice way to aknowledge all his work and keep him remembered!!!

    Turn 20: "The tail"?

    Turn 7: "Red or Blue" (as you decide basically which track you're running in, reference to Matrix movie)
