you can run rF2 and Photoshop side by side (I have a second monitor, comes in handy then ) and reload your just saved skin in the car spinner. No need to quit/restart rF2.
Or just Alt-tab between them if you don't have the luxury of a second monitor. Setting rF2 in windowed mode will work too. Also feels3 - I know I've said this before, but I can't wait for Croft!
Yeh I find myself in the same boat Nismo, never done any skinning but have wanted to learn for some time now. If any of you guys know of any good tuts or would care to share what you know on the subject then please let us know.
@ John. Yes, if you bother to pack them into a new component file. Adding them to an existing .mas file will instantly break online functionality for that particular car.
Yeh they have stated quite a lot that is their intention... I am not worrying about skins till that system is up and running.
You got me into searching with this. We are talking about this guy, a brave but unlucky man, here with Divana Galica. Obvious choice of car is March 731 which he drove at this appauling 1973 Zadvoort trying unsuccesfully to save his friend. I remember seeing it tv-live, strong experience.
The thing is the effect is way overdone. I hoped I would not need to spend more time showing this, but now I have recorded telemetry to show the issue and written a separate bug thread on it: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/6776-Clio-Gear-Change-Steering-Force-Bug It would be nice to see staff response on the issue. As the Clio is now with this, it feels video-game like.
I always think of that horrific crash that involved Purleys freind, i forget his name now but his car just lit up in flames and his freind was burnt alive in the car. He stopped his car during the race to try and help whilst the marshells just didn't seem to want to help. I see it in a program F1 Tragedys or something, pretty sure it was on the BBC, may be somewhere on Youtube. The car was just engulfed in flames and there was nothing anyone could do to help
Missed your text earlier as it was below Nikos buy yes as above that's how i remember Purley and your right it's extremely strong. Found it below. I really hope it is that car we are getting btw
Zandvoort was warned by drivers if I remember well, that safety standarts were much under par, I think there was a lot of pressure on them to race there, the result was the above and last F1 race at Zandvoort ever...
I believe having read somewhere, that the marshalls werent dressed properly, they werent protected against fire. Also, it appears there is WAY to little fire extuingishers there..... What a shame it was, really..... How hard must it have been for Purley. If I remember correctly I heard somewhere, that williamson was concious, and screaming because he was trapped. Purley tried everything he could (and more by the looks of it) to try and help, but for no good. Williamson burned alive..... (at least that is how I understood, but then again, I was born many years after this accident )
I too think on this terrible crash when I hear either of their names... David Purley and Roger Williamson. Poor Williamson lost his life and Purley had to go through it all and live with it afterwards The fist time I saw it I was really quite shocked at how it happened and the lack of help from anyone, especially the marshalls and poor Williamson just burnt to death. Just horribly sad. Must have been a terrible thing to see live nikos...
I stopped following for a while, yes... Same with Ronnie and Jilles... I really feel lucky I was on holiday and didnt watch Ayrton. But missed the rest of season again... Nothing was the same after Ayrton.
My understanding of the terrible day is that Williamson mercifully died of asphyxiation. His death was not in vain, one hopes.
