Hi, Will there be a possibility to have servers without helps? This is possible in GSC. Before joining a server you can check which helps are allowed or not. I must say I am very upset joining servers where most people use all kinds of helps. Thanks for reply. Ricoo/AProst
All help I know is Automatic clutch as not all people have 3 pedals. I havent seen other help in servers.
From settings page all helps can be chosen before joining a server. I would like to see which helps are allowed by the server. I don't even know if a server can refuse players using some helps (like anti-locking wheels for example).
The server doesn't refuse the connection for players with assists configured to 'on' (or not 'off' if there are multiple choices for 'on' like low, med or high) if it is configured not to allow them, it just disables the use of the assists (a.k.a helps) for the client. Only server side allowed assists are then at the client's disposal to choose to use them or not, they are not enforced if allowed by the server. I know what you mean though, it would be good if you could look at the server on the server browser and see the assists allowed, or more importantly, not allowed. Maybe a traffic light system: green = all allowed, orange = some allowed and red means none allowed, although the latter would probably have to ignore Auto Clutch for those without a 3rd pedal or none.
Thanks for your clear answer. I really hope it will be possible to know which assists are allowed or not by a server, since I don't want to join a server where helps are allowed (except auto-clutch).
Yeah right..... and then being beaten by multiple seconds per lap because the other drivers who do enable helps can accelerate way quicker out of the corners, and won't have to brake too carefully because the ABS prevents them from spinning out to much. Sounds like a great race. To prevent this, I think Ricoo has a valid point: it would indeed be nice if you could see the allowed aides BEFORE joining a server (which was allready possible in rF1)
Agreed it would be nice to see what is or isn't allowed on any given server...but It really doesn't matter. I drive online like I drive in real life, if the car has abs/sequential shifter/450 degree steering/4 speed using H&T etc... that's what I do. So you might get beat by someone who drives like they are at an arcade.. such is life. If I host a race I make the settings as real as possible... but one can't complain too much if you are joining someone's server.
I have a clutch but I'm too useless to use it, so I use autoclutch, but longterm, I'd never participate in any driving assists on server.
At right hand bottom of page, there is a 'Contact Us' button. There, u can get in contact with Developers. They always answer. (your post sounds like a threat. This is a public forum. Dont do this here please)
I run NODamage ANYView AUTOGears in my room ( F3-ROOKIES *Training) for rookies benefit .......... Big whoop ? Certainly nothing to be ANGRY about. lol Pro comes to my room how does it affect them ? diddly squat ...
Ricco, Silly to do a refund because of such moments. And I don't understand why in simulators to use the help. Drive a week and you will like and get new feelings from driving.
It spoils online for me. If there is no possibility to chose a server without help (except auto clutch) before joining, I don't want to race online. I want to race on same level with players that don't using anti-lock wheel or stability assist. I agree since rF1 had the possibility to see which assist were allowed before joining a server, it's reasonable to think that rF2 will have it. I just would like official statement on that feature. This is not a threat, but without this feature for me online is pointless, and I don't see why I should keep life membership.
Just my 2 cents... It seems a shame to give up on the game because of this. I hate to use the "B"(eta) word but it is clear there is much work to do yet on the server side of things. Since rF1 had that capability, it is reasonable to assume rF2 will as well. In the meantime, could you not, upon joining a server, simply send a polite chat asking if any driving aids are allowed? Seems like a better strategy than throwing up your hands and quitting.
This +1. Also you could just go to track, bring up the driving aids screen on the HUD and try turning them on/off to see which are available.
