I'm still excited about the new car and track, but I have to stop using the Oval layout. I have a Logitech G27, set to 100% in the Profiler, and the concrete banking is tearing the poor thing apart. I've turned the Car Specific FFB Mult down to 0.7 and it's still horrendous. It literally sounds like it's pulling itself apart.
Same here with a G25. The road layout is fine but the oval feels like certain death for the wheel. I took 3 laps on the low part which wasnt TOO bad but up high was out of the question.
same here with DFGT...too much rattling... and in general too much rattling evrywere... i like the formula master but on curbs the ffb is horrible!! on the previous version too...
i have found this conf. some years before for rf(1) and use them unchanged for iracing aswell because it works great for me. The funny thing is that some people using the same conf in pcars but it works not for me in pcars. i have there the same problems like Alan.
Unfortunately it is true with G25. Unfiltered FF is not real with this wheel. IMO forces are too "sharp" and too strong. They should be dumped by tyres and soft suspension. I know the old surface is bumpy but still forces are exaggerated (comparing to centring forces)
Lol no, too much noise comming from the wheel on the oval. quite annoying for people not interested in 'computer games'
This has been a problem since day 1 in rfactor2 beta for me (G27). The rattle/shaking is horrible, but somehow I've get used to it. But when it's getting late I can't play no more because of the terrible noise.
its better than playing drums lol better write a post for neighbours 'what u prefer, drums or simming'.
Was hoping this would be fixed, my subwoofer just got shaken off my desk :O Anyway ffb in general feels great on my g25 but on straights its way too much and quite alot of energy is just put in just holding it steady... if not held it swings wildly left to right and even does it when stationary in the pits sometimes. Hope it can be fixed soon.
I understand that Brianza oval is supposed to be pretty rough, but I am actually experiencing same unbearable rattle in my personal test oval which is built to be super smooth. So there is issue somewhere in the FFB code or in the way of how game deals with track mesh etc.
Go to: "My Documents/rFactor2/UserData/player/Controller.. now scroll down to: [ Force Feedback ], then find the line: "Steering Torque Filter="0" & change the value from whatever it says now up to about 28, or 32 (you decide how much filtering you want - some people are happy with 8..) This will stop your rattling, the downside is that it will have "numbed down" the FF a little - but it will save your wheel & allow you to drive on the Monza banking again
A value of 9 works well for me in all tracks except for Brianza, the rattling is serious here. Untill a better solution is found I will have to increase this value only when racing in this track.
