I can't see any more motors heat haze in all cams view, with all cars.
As I can remember, This graphic effect worked well before last release.

It still is there, but in an upgraded version. The older one was sort of a placeholder.

I've read new version depends on throttle, whatever does it mean.

Yes. The more throttle you apply, the more intensive the effect is.

Thank you for your answer but nothing to deal with throttle, flat out or not...

Same issue : I see nothing like heat haze around my car on any situation, even with full options. I saw a post with a heat haze bug (kind of bubble with build 85) so that's how I discovered it was (normally) implemented...

Check your plr, there should be an entry,,

Heat FX Fade Speed="30.00000" // Speed at which exhaust heat effects reduce by half (0 to completely disable)

If you kept your old plr, it's possible that this entry is not there.

    The change log mentions this.

    UPDATE 4 Changelog (MAY 18, 2012):
    ======================================

    GRAPHICS:
    ---------------------------
    ~~snip~~~
Now applying heat haze to graphics, note new PLR option "Heat FX Fade Speed" which can be used to completely disable.

This line "Heat FX Fade Speed" is in my plr file and have same value. Build 85 is my first build and I didn't change a thing in this plr file. Still no Heat haze effect in game. All options at maximum.

That's true but the trouble is that all was ok since the first beta release and of course with same ATI Graphic card...

thats because one fix somewhere might cuase a bug somewhere else, a bug fix there might cause another bug somewhere else....thats the joys of making games! Things will get broken that were fine before but rest assured this is a feature of the engine so ISI will bring it back in a future update I'm sure.

I need it to be back (I say "back" but never saw it as b85 is my first build) to be able to deactivate it to save some fps ;)
