Funny how I just knew this guy was a virtualR troll right from the get go. @virtualr troll. Ever think that the FFB frequency in rF2 is too high for the logitech wheels? Or perhaps you have and are only here to troll? Funny thing is people are only discussing and trying to help. The only thing you're doing is being a prick.
I'm just pointing out the obvious, ie, G25/27 are two of the most popular sim wheels in existence, so failing to ensure customer satisfaction with them doesn't sound like a recipe for longterm success. As I said, you fanboys are downright absurd.
Hey ISI team, yesterday I finally had the chance to try the new build. I love what you have done to the car models. They don't look like RC cars anymore. I tested them on my favourite track, Portugal and I like the new look of it very much. Colours look more "alive". Only had an hour to test it, so that's all I can say for now. Oh, the physics also seem to have improved. The UI is getting better as well. To sum it up: I'm a happy customer still.
The FFB update frequency is high enough to take advantage of something like the Leo Bodnar FFB direct drive wheel. Unfortunately other wheels are not as god-like and rely on down-gearing or belts off the motors. Which is a weak point. So YES isi needs to add a slider that will allow the user to "dull" the force feedback rate to match their hardware. Tomorrow I receive the Fanatec Clubsport wheel for testing and review. I will know exactly how messy the rF2 ffb behaves on that belt drive wheel compared to my g27.
Tim, I have "black" car mirrors. I copied this from my player file... I made the adjustment and I believe the game is performing properly. Rearview="2" // 0=Off, 1=Center and Side, 2=Center only, 3=Side only (virtual mirrors only, in-car mirrors are on/off) Randy
Sorry if it has already been posted it, i can´t make "All Cars & Tracks" work.. it just crashes rF when i select it. Saludos!!!!!!
Exactly this. I am glad I am not alone. It is just like rF1 when you try and do all cars and tracks with 100 mods and 150 tracks. Useless.
Weird how many people are having problems with the updates. I downloaded the 69->85 update, installed it, downloaded all of the updated rfmods and installed them, then ran rF2 and everything worked without a hitch, even All Cars & Tracks. Guess I was just lucky.
I've lost the lighting effects you get when you get in and out of the tunnel in Monaco. Anybody has the same problem? (At least in the 60's cars that i've tested)
I did a clean install of b85, now I'm missing all cars & tracks I looked inside rf2 folders and I found "allcarstracks_10.mas" in the "rfm" folder but I can't see any sign of it inside the game. It doesn't show up even in the ModMgr All other mods installed and working fine. Any advice, thanks.
Awesome progress with this build The formula masters are great to drive, its nice to see DRS as well. The only problems I've noticed are some flickering in the rear view mirrors of the FMs, and the ffb/steering still feels a little slow.
yes i do, using 5 screens, here is my setup: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/5271-Sim-Cockpits are there any plugins for RF2, like Timing Monitor etc, my 4th and 5th screen are still empty for RF2, what can i use there?
+1 for SucaScr I can run all mods without any problems but crashes with All Cars & Tracks I did the 69->85 update & +1 for the black mirrors in all the 60's Cars SS
The updated Renault 3.5 drives much better now, although the FFB still feels weird. I feel no lateral forces. When driving through a (high speed) corner I expect I have to apply some heavy forces to steer the car. Using a higher FFB-value doesn't do the job, because all the FFB-forces are multiplied, so the bumps feel like bombs . The FFB from the new ISI Formula Masters is much better, although the lateral forces still seem very weak (like all other cars in rF2 actually). I don't think power-steering is simulated, so is this realistic? Using a Logitech Momo (black) btw.
Why aren't the new shaders (road and cars) being mentioned/explained in any changelog, or have I missed it?
It does say "Improved lighting math". But you're right, not every little change is listed. What's not 'under the hood' or obvious to see straight away tends to be left out. That way the changelog doesn't become an endless list . It's quite a long list already, if you consider it doesn't include ANY of the art changes. Imagine if every texture change would be listed ... we'd need a few forum pages then !
That's ok, although I would't mind a more detailed changelog, like what has been modified in the F3.5 physics for example. I guess you guys are glad the 'obvious' updated shaders got noticed then
