To be fair I'm not requesting a massive overhaul of this track, just a couple of fixes. Graphically it's very good. I'd say it's better to make sure a track is completely fixed before moving on to the next project but's that's just my opinion. Obviously the flickering track texture is something that has arisen with newer builds.
I can't see the black tiremarks flicker with Build 198, the Corvette and nVidia 311.06 drivers. What cars/builds/drivers do you see the problem with?
I'm re-testing now also. Has been awhile... Edit. OK. The only flickering I am currently seeing is on the shadow of the following location: View attachment 7726 Also, this track has excessive aliasing. I am not a graphics expert so maybe it's just the nature of this track with fencing, etc. but I have to double the level of anti-aliasing at this track vs. Mid-OH and Sebring. Again I am not a graphics expert but what I can say is that I recently did a write-up at Race Department and in that write-up I praise VLM tracks but completely forgot to Fuji was a VLM track, most likely due to the difference in overall quality. Fuji is such a great track so I wonder if the quality difference may be why Sebring and Mid-OH get so much more play online. Anyway, I very much appreciate all of your work but to be honest I love Fuji but rarely race it because other tracks just look so much better. One last comment is that I believe with rF2 quality is so much more important than quantity because of the depth of the physics and dynamic conditions, etc. that keep people on the same track for much, much longer vs. in rf1 and other sims where you get bored and are also looking for another track. Anyway thanks again and I appreciate all your efforts.
Added v1.03 to the first post. I couldn't replicate the flickering on my machine so no idea if it is fixed in this version. Please test.
Thank you Ethone and VLM. I have said it before, I will say it again: YOU ARE THE BEST! It was true in rF1 and it is still true in rF2!
The link initially had a double http:// at thre beginning, which I fixed about an hour after you published it. Did you get any reports after that point?
Danke ethone! Having those beautiful tracks in rF2 is surely appreciated by lots of leagues and individuals out there.
