CTDP is currently working on the International Formula Master (IFM) 2009 mod for rFactor 2. The car is a smaller open wheeler like a Formula 3 car and was raced during the WTCC weekends from 2007 to 2009. Check out the first two screenshots in our development blog: http://devblog.ctdp.net/2012/04/first-ifm-2009-ingame-shots/ The mod is also a project to get used to the rFactor 2 mod development. So feel free to discuss about IFM 2009 in here and stay tuned for more updates.
Those tyre textures look great, really great! I'm looking forward to this mod, should be a lot of fun. No it was a real series, but it folded after the 2009 season. A few of the current GP2 boys passed through it.
As already said it was a real supporting series during the european WTCC races. But FIA launched their Formula Two in 2009 and many teams and drivers switched to F2 so IFM died. It's a shame. I really like the car. I think it looks way better than that ugly F2 car.
Agreed - and F2 isn't exactly feeding any young talents into F1, is it? GP2 is still the main route, and Renault 3.5 is becoming increasingly popular. I'm surprised the FIA launched the F3 International Trophy to support F2, since it's clearly not kicked off to a good start. Most young drivers would happily chose AutoGP over F2, hoping that a good performance there can feed them into GP2 or R3.5.
Formula Master was more a "F3 like" series with 2 liter engines. I think GP3 was the reason it is'nt around anomore.
Loves me some Formula Masters! I'm sorry the series didn't take off, it was a great idea, even had Nigel mansell in there if I recall correctly?
This is looking like a nice car. can you can have 20 vehicles on track with no stutter? looks like very high polly. its nice to see the best modders in town never give up good look i no this car will put a smile on my face.
