Im unable to export suspensions and brake disks correctly from 3ds max 2010.. what are the right settings for exporting these parts? are they coming together (i mean both in a single file)? and what about pivot points? please help me if you can..
Usually tagged with "Move". Im not sure if this affects physics or anything but you can always attach bdiscs to the wheels. But if you separate them (one for each wheel) you have to align the pivot to match the wheels pivots.
in real life the rims get bolted/attached through the bdiscs (depending is it a nut or bolt attachment) so they have to spin at the same time as the wheels. The rim should usually tighten the bdiscs so that theyll spin at the same time. If they dont the car has some problems there
but if you meant brake calipers they should stay where they are and not spin calipers should be separated for each wheel, pivots aligned with wheel pivots and move tagged.
for spinner gen you can use for example: Instance=LRSPINDLE { Moveable=True MeshFile=rter_lr_spindle.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowCaster=False LODIn=(0.00) LODOut=(50.0) Reflect=True } and this for each caliper (LF, RF, LR, RR)
