After 7 hours of fumbling around, I'm SO close to getting everything up and running.
Created a database. Changed the password to match the reader/writer in the 2 files.

Final problem is: "SQL Session Closed"

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Run a session change on the server

Thanks gagipro. That didn't work, tho.

Could the problem be that my RF2 server is installed in the (x86) Folder?

TOTALLY in over my head here.

I'm going to try to do a fresh rF2 install. I forgot to mention that my server is running Windows8. From my experiences, the x86 folder is the kiss of death on that OS.

Did it function properly on the Win8 root level?

Never encountered issue uou described, for a server never put in subdirectories : root only.
It takes 10 minutes to reinstall :)
Go on dude and come back if issue solved.
It's better to be in root like c:\rf2 or even d:\rf2, easier to administrate this way.

    OK
    I did a clean install in C:\
    The path is file://C:\RF2/VMHotLaps/CurrentScoring.xml
    Sound correct?

I launch VM LiveView, then start and RF2 server.
After a few seconds, the server info pops into the LiveViewer control panel. THAT'S good. Success!

When I try to access the different pages via Localhost/vmliveviewer, I still run into some database problems.

"vmliveview/monitor" brings up the page, but all that is visible is the "select language" pulldown. When I select a language, I get an error.

"vmliveview/marquee" brings up the marque, but says "no session data"

"vmliveview/hotlaps" brings up a "database connection error".

    The inc.mysql.conn.php.error.log has this entry:
    2014-03-04 03:51:22";"Connect to SQL Server";"Error No: (1045) Error Msg: (Access denied for user 'vmliveview01dbw'@'localhost' (using password: YES))";"REMOTE_ADDR: ::1";"HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/33.0.1750.117 Safari/537.36

Should I try setting up another database, or is there a permission issue?

    SO CLOSE!!!

Rights error, add same user with rights on the db and from localhost 127.0.0.1, create 2 users for both networks.
Hey man, this is not liveview issue but mysql rights one :

Ok, thank you again gaigpro. I wasn't sure where the problem was since I have no db experience to this point.

    Hey guys,
I have a problem. When there are sometimes more than 8 riders on the server drive and someone comes in then get another one connection lost. Sometimes the server crashes rfactor2.
I think this is due to the data (transfer). Can I set this somewhere?
    Any ideas?

The server sometimes crashes with this plugin, we haven't sorted why yet.
    Any news Frank & Valbuena??
