But the difference between a g25 and g27 is mute.

I got my g27 from pixmania, for only £180 (i dont know what it is know) but its my first racing wheel so i dont know how it compares, but im very happy with it its great. Its the best for a package (wheel, shifter, pedals) so i would go with that :D

For $150 you don't want the best but the most valuable wheel. It is then a rather easy choice, get a G27. Logitech wheels are without a doubt the best per dollar.

I found my best rfactor2 wheel setup after buying and setting leobodnar cable...
Using g25pedals ..dfp wheel.... And actlabs shifter...
Dont know of my lap time are better Now but reducing rattling in curbs ... And my wheel is more comfortable with formula an gt series.....
I know sound like a frankstein setup but i like it

It's absolutely the best wheel for the money, period.

I've owned every Logitech wheel, and now I have a Fanatec. The DFGT is still one of my favorite wheels ever.

When it comes to FFB, from my own experience with a T500 RS and reading/talking/driving with others, the FFB of the T500 RS is the best. I'm not talking bang for the buck- the G27 is best for the money. But just for the FFB (not to mention is great pedals) the T500 is the way to go.

IMO, every cent spent on crap like DFGT's and their ilk is wasted, money that could be spent on vastly superior G27.

DFGT pedals are made as cheaply as humanly possible....it's hard to believe we went to the moon 40 odd yrs ago yet produce **** like DFGT.

Logitech is not a US company and Switzerland has never been to the moon.

    Relevance?

    Who's "we"?

What the heck does the US going to moon have to do with a Swiss company making sim wheels?

    Talk about relevance....

i would really like a t500 but the static paddles kill it for me.

and the stuff i read a bout the fanatec gt3/gt2 puts me off from buying.

but i have g27 so i cant complain except for the horrible rattleing in rf2 both on and off track.

The T500 is certainly a great wheel, but some graphs and info posted by one iRacing dev showing some of the differences in different wheels was quite alarming. No doubt that the T500 has a stronger and faster motor than the G25/G27, but according to the test programs they used the FFB was surprisingly slow to react. Whereas the G25 and G27 have a 500 Hz update rate (meaning 2 ms minimum latency) and the first movement happens 9-10 ms after the FFB signal is sent, the T500 RS has a 120 Hz update rate (8 ms minimum latency) and first move took 20-23 ms. That's between 1.2 and 1.4 frames of lag (at 60 FPS), which is surprisingly much.

Other than that (and the crappy fixed paddles, though that's personal) it's pretty dang great though. Not quite CSR Elite, but on the other hand it's much cheaper and you get pedals.

I have Fanatec CSR with Elite pedals. Could never go back to non load cell pedals now. Love how quiet the wheel is also, as my G27 was very noisy in comparison.

You should be able to dial the on track rattling away, and significantly reduce off track by modifying your ini.

You wouldn't happen to be an iRacing member would you? If you are, could you download the test app found here and see what it says about that particular wheel? I'd be very interested in the results.

The results were posted last year, so no. Good to hear they've tackled the issue. iRacing users can get the test program on the iRacing forums (http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/1473510.page), but as I'm not one I can't get it. It would be great if someone could retest it with the new firmware.
