I work on the engine, some tests will be done this afternoon. Does anyone know where I can change the default choice of tires for RNs because they always roll with the rains. thank you
No read my original post, in f1 it was a system that was sensing as you braked when the rear tyres started to slip/lock up and only then would it give out a certain amount of needed throttle, jus like how traction control cuts out a certain amount of throttle, but tthe oither way around. This setting in rfactor isn't sensing when ur about to lockup your rear tyres and then giving out just enough throttle that the sensor senses to maintain just enough grip so as to not lock up, rfactor doesn't do that, in rfactor this is just a general constant non adjusting and non sensing parameter of how much retardation (slowing down) you get when you lift the throttle, just like in real life how all cars have different amounts of engine braking when you lift the gas, some cars do it more than others etc
True. Wrong, Spinelli is correct. Engine maps are not banned. Teams are allowed to change between limited number of different maps. Ingame that meens that Brake maps are ok, braking maps in rFactor are feeding a static amount of fuel during braking. What was disallowed was EBS (Engine Brake Systems) that changed fuel mapping dynamically during braking to prevent wheel lookups. For 2012 the longetudal weight balance can be within 45.5:54.5 to 46.5:53.5. As for the lateral weight distribution there is no rule to force an equal balance, you can run the car as you wish.
well, looks like engine sounds are gonna be same as rf1 for many of these up coming mods or not...???
Thank you novis!!!! Williams Technical Director, Sam Michael, believes this will have a much bigger effect on drivers than the removal of Traction Control. He said “There is still engine braking, so when you lift off the throttle it's still there, and you have different throttle maps that you can apply to tune that. The big difference is that there are no anti-lock systems. So under braking when you normally slam the brakes on you have got a rear anti-lock system that controls the rear-wheel slip. That's gone”.
Gentlemen, you have the engine in version 1.4 is not the right engine, I have repeated at least 6 times on this topic. The new engine arrives in the next version. I need your lights, I want to add a little bit of grip on the wings, what is the right line to edit? I release the next version tomorrow and hopefully it will suit the majority. As of February 2 the physical will be blocked because we will work exclusively on 3D & 2D of new cars and I can not do everything simultaneously. Also, if one of you knows about engine sounds and he wants to help, we seek new sounds for 12 cars. Contact me soon.
I downloaded this mod today and the install went flawlessly. This further reinforces my suspicion that the original Megane and Formula Renault's default setups are just plain bad. This car is not exhibiting any of the 'tail-happy' characteristics of either of those two cars. I've only driven it around five laps at Monaco, but so far I'm loving it. Thanks.
FrontTireCompoundSetting=2 // Compound index within brand RearTireCompoundSetting=2 // Compound index within brand replace 2 by 1 : it is an index (0..n-1) not a number (1..n)
Thank you we found yesterday, we correct for the next update. We also have the new engine. Prohibits the distribution of the lateral masses. we work on the aero and mechanical grip before validating and distribute the next version.
what a ****ing stupid thread. this whole forum and state of the rf2 beta is turning me RIGHT OFF this 'game'. ISI need to get this released and get this right and out the door and stop with all this F*NG around.
