Bit odd, not sure what you mean about buying consoles

It's pretty much the same point on the track, and it wasn't a proper test just an observation really

We'd all love to spunk our families' money on better hardware, but a 10 frame hit on mirrors isn't really acceptable whatever your rig is like.

Mirrors on high spec pcs probably lose 10 frames too, you just don't notice it as you're running at high fps anyway

 

I've never had a problem with the mirrors. I tried checking it yesterday on a few tracks. The difference with mirrors off is a one frame improvement. I have a couple year old PC and a GTX 680 and I run rF2 will every setting at its highest at a resolution of 2560 x 1600 level 3 AA. Are you running NVIDIA?

Some tracks the drop isn't noticeable as its better frames but the more hungry circuits drop me below my 60 cap

It's clearly not just me as many others experience this sort of issue. If there's a setting I'm not optimising somewhere then maybe that would explain it?

 

Oh I understand that there is an issue with fps when using mirrors, but my point was that if he is trying to show a difference, it would be best to show the same spot on the track with and without mirrors, as this would eliminate the possibility that other factors influenced the drop in fps.

 

Sitting in the pits would be a pretty good way to show the same thing. With no AI of course, as they affect things.

People whinge about PC games performance yet still have enough money to afford a console and all it's

In short anyone owns a console and has a inferior rF2 tower I would not give 2 seconds of my day to.

That is cool as long as you not pumping endless games into them at the sacrifice of rF2 performance which obviously you are not.


Not everyone can have their cake and eat it too.

If rF2 is important to your sim life sometimes I just have to wonder about the type of guy has every single sim and console driving title you can name then complains about rF2 on a poor tower or plastic steering wheel..........

 

The attitude in your posts make you seem like the person who wouldn't mind punting a puppy off your porch every morning if it was sitting in your pathway. Calm down a bit.

 

Rf2 isn't on console and I never once mentioned consoles. That's why it's odd you brought it up as a complaint
