    Hi,
first I would like to say how pleased I am with the beta release of rfactor 2, yes its got problems but I exspected that, But I would like to know what this advanced tab is for?
I'm not very computer minded when it comes to setting up games and my first thought it might be for activating all my cores on my quad 6600 chip but i'm probably well off the mark!
    Any help would be greatful.
    Cheers

It is there to set additional command line parameter and to examine where content is stored for a given install

I had very bad stuttering in the Meganes at Mills (FPS counter still said 30-40, but definitely was below 10 at times through the middle part of the track) and it improved significantly when I put "+highprio" in the CLI*.

In rF1 you would create/edit the shortcut and put +fullproc (not needed in rF2), or +highprio, or any of the other command line options, at the end of the Target box. As rF2 uses a launcher you don't directly set a shortcut to the exe, but use the CLI box in the Advanced tab instead. Just remember to put things like +highprio in both the Single player and Multiplayer boxes, and 'Save Parameters' :)

*your mileage may vary, as they say.

Could the Advanced Tab be used to run other programs in the background when rFactor 2 starts up?

For example you could create the following ie

    Run "Teamspeak3".exe
    Run "SLI Manager".exe
    Run "TouchBuddy".exe

For me that would be ultra handy so that all programs that you always run with rfactor 2 start up correctly.
The only other way is creating a seperate batch file to do this.

    Cheers
    Phil

Why have none of the devs picked up on this post?
I would very much like to know what commands are available.
Currently ctrl+c shows that one of my cores lies dormant I think...
Anyways , I read +highprio works and that +fullproc is unnecessary,is this the case?
A command list would be a nice reference,is one available?
    Here's hoping...

That would be good. TS3, Touchbuddy, Sli manager and rF2 all starting with one click.
I have TS3 displayed on my touchscreen and start Touchbuddy on top of it.
One of my Touchbuddy tabs is a transparent screen so I can see activity on TS3.
Can TS3 can be setup to join a particular server/channel on startup?
If so that would be work out nicely.

Well, not to run to "its a beta" but it is. I am not sure what is hooked up right now, what will be hooked back up, and what is dead.

i keep trying things from rf and some seem to work like the mirrors the vibration in cockpit so i would look at trying things in the plr file and see if it works on rf2 as well. gd luck ;) ps keeping received files

i wouldnt go being SO complimentary of the beta just because your one setup was not too awful.
the rest of us with new hardware or fast cards or PCs built for rf2 are currently massively pissed off and disappointed. this games engine needs MAJOR work.

What does your post have to do with the rF2 launcher advanced tab?

Maybe if you posted in the appropiate sub forum stating your specs and problems people might help you.
A change of attitude would help too.
Your "rest of us" comment gave me a good laugh though.
