MoTec or Real Time Telemetry support? I know it's early with the Beta and you guys have a lot to take care of before this, but is there a way to make rF2 write the .ld MoTec logs yet? Also, will Real time Telemetry or some other app be supported to display telemtry info on a networked laptop? I use Sim Tools with rFactor and Real Time Telemetry works as well, but I don't know if ISI has something else in store? LOVE the beta so far. Holy crap the FFB rockS!
I'm interested too. I actually play Race 07 and I use Motec i2P to help me find a good setup. Of course this is not an high priority task! Thanks.
It would be vary easy to port plugins. The original creator of the DAQ plugin will need to do it. Or maybe release the source for someone else to do it.
The more data the better to set up the cars. I tried using the rF1 data acquisition files and modified the Plr but had no luck. Not sure where to place the files. Not even sure if they are compatable.
Telemetry or compatibility with motec is something I realy want from this game. this feature was the reason why I was playing gtr2 instead of other games.
I totaly missed that.. I now see Data Acquisition Plugin for rfactor and motec... I can't believe I've missed that and real feel. where was I!?! thank you.
Good news, I think, but can you please provide a little more detail regarding what you are trying to say here?
Haven't got around to bringing my own plugin across... if I get a chance I'll do a quick move with the existing channels, and add the new rF2 stuff later...
I've done a quick crossover and adjusted the telem rates (rF2 runs at 100Hz, rF1 was 90), I'm nearly late for work so I'm putting this up 'as is'... Please see updated plugin here. There is more data available for rF2, I'll add those in later. Extract this to your 'core' folder (the one that already has a Plugins folder in it), start up the game once (single or multi-), exit out and you'll find a MotecPlugin.ini with some values you might want to change. Updated to fix a crash on switching the logging on. Note that this doesn't require any sort of converter for more recent MoTeC versions... I haven't tried the current build but running i2Pro 1.10.x without issue. Oh, and when you run a plugin an icon appears when you jump in the car, and the plugin isn't actually active for about 10 seconds (until the icon disappears). Good luck
EDIT: I installed the motec plugin. When enter race i hear the plugin off sound and i see the icon on the top left. Then when i press ctrl+m game crashed to desktop.
Sorry, left one old figure in... for whatever reason it didn't trip up until turning logging on inside the car (rather than having it switched on in the ini). Updated my earlier post link here.
