yes it starts to load but stops with the "Error creating standard default shader" I've tried all resolutions with the same result. (windowed) pc specs are... AMD 64 x2 3600+ GeForce GTS 450 2 gig ram Windows XP sp3 SS
Ok I've fixed this by running the DirectX thats inside the Game Dir, ?:\rFactor2\Support\DirectX pat on the back for me SS
same problem here, DX reinstalled, tried also that from the game pack graphic drivers reinstalled, restarted few times no idea what to do, I am quite disapointed atm nvidia gts250 here
Same problem here. Started after I moved the install from c:\rfactor2 (SSD) to d:\rfactor2 and deleted c:\rfactor2. Since then I've uninstalled the version on d:\, copied the saved packages folder from the original c: install and installed them too. I'm thinking that installing on C: and uninstalling, then installing again on C: would fix this issue. Any tips? Cheers folks
Only things I can come up with are the DX being broken which can be reinstalled or video memory being low. Edit: I have to add to that... You can run dxdiag.exe to check the current DX version, and use dxwebsetup to "reinstall" it, which isnt actually reinstall more like check its ok and fix if not. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113 You can also try to increase virtual memory. http://www.delete-computer-history.com/increase-virtual-memory.html
1. Delete all files from folder "c:\Users\YourUserName\rFactor2\UserData\Log\Shader" and restart rF2. It will rebuild all shaders on startup (which will take little bit longer than normally). 2. If that doesn't help, you probably need uninstall rF2 completely. Uninstaller DO NOT completely remove rF2 from your computer. You need to manually delete all folders and files from you data location, EXCEPT "Packages" folder (where your all mods are and they will be needed for your content re-installation with ModManager). Cheers!
