It's not something we're going to like to do very often, because it's a manual process, but yes we can do it. There's a fee to do this.

    Only 30? So 43.99 + 30 = 73.99. That's 11 dollars cheaper than buying lifetime option (84.99) straight away! :D

Having the upgrade option would be great. I could see something similar as Telltale Games does, where you buy one episode of the game and can easily upgrade to the full-season without having to pay the first episode twice.

It would be nice if after the 3rd renewal the account would automatically switch to lifetime.

I'll use my first post to say that I too am interested in what exactly that "upgrading" would entail. I'm definately not put off by the current pricing structure obviously, but a bit of Xtra love the devs way not to mention the convenience seems to make a potential (5-6?) years of support a worthwhile feature.
Someone ISI chime in here, as I said I'm not terribly concerned either way but it would show an additional level of support to the Devs & Modders to come in addition to being just "handy".

Would you please explain this Tim ?
I paid Australian $42.99 for the normal license as the Lifetime was $82.99 - a difference of $40

So I was hoping that if I upgraded within the beta period I would only pay the difference of $40.
But you mentioned a "$30 cost", surely you are not asking for another $70 (Australian) to upgrade to Lifetime ?

Yes I'd like clarification on this too. I was hesitant at first to buy a lifetime account without even seeing the BETA in action and I assumed there would be an automated system at some point in the near future to allow upgrades to lifetime accounts, especially within a BETA period. The buying process was the first time I'd seen the price (AUD) for the lifetime account so I didn't have very long to consider it. Now after playing the BETA I really would like to upgrade to lifetime! I'm kinda hoping there is no penalty for my understandable hesitation :).

Like everyone else I really want to try a product before buying a lifetime lisence. Even if the first try is a paid beta I'm hesitant buying lifetime membership immediately so I'd like that option to be available later.

It is a bit confusing though if the lifetime memebership is indeed cheaper to buy separately instead of as one-off because one would assume it should be cheaper to buy the lifetime membership on the first time...?

It could be that I was counting in a discount we'd given, sorry... I'll remove the amount... But yes we can do it, but there's a fee. I'd wait a bit to give us time to recover from other things though, you'll have 18 months to upgrade anyway.
