I made it work. Just follow the instructions in this thread. Enable Ethernet adapter, and click on purchase

    Problem fixed :D
    Thanks to all that helped.

But i think that this would require some attention by ISI, it dos not make sense for me to have lan activated to run the game, even if i dont use that device...

This is beta right we made our contribution.

we are in 2012 arn't we what is up with this rather old hat workaround . C'mon ISI sort this out ASAP please. I know you are busy but please look at this> I don't have the option to enable my LAN Network so until its sorted the install is rather useless.

This is a really stupid problem. Not using ethernet, and we have to enable it? I haven't seen any contact from ISI, previously fantastic games such as F1C 99-02 and rFactor, but have clearly not modernised, only able to help XP and Vista. Read our responses please!

Does anyone have a fix for those of us who are wired (not wireless) and have the same problem?

Wireless people, this should be fixed in the next update given it makes it past testing.

However, you may have to reactivate

Wired through standard Ethernet using cable modem and seperate Netgear router (UPnP enabled)
As mentioned by other users, I have disabled firewall and virus protection, run the launcher in admin mode and compatibility mode (XP SP3) and nothing, it seems there isn't even any attempt to create a connection or send packets, just a white screen inside the launcher with the infamous line.
Ive tried installing several times in various locations and hard drives, even redownloaded twice incase of slight file corruption...
I use Comodo Internet Security and have tried disabling everything, even shutting it down completely, any advice or things you want me try I will gladly test :)
    Thanks
